Campaign - Heroic Difficulty

Does anyone have advice or tips for getting through the campaign on heroic difficulty, as right now i am more or less getting through it with massive save/load abuse, which was alright for the first mission but the second one which is defense is proving to be impossible as the AI overwhelms my position with huge amounts of soldiers and pzkpfw III's which goes alright for a while but after a couple of minutes most of my troops are dead and all heavy weapon emplacements have been destroyed.

Any advice for heroic difficulty?

More people = Less load for any one person.

I find it hard to beat heroic aswell but thats because i lack people who are experienced enough to control their section of the front and keep it from getting overun.

It really depends on the mission, some of the smaller scale missions such as sniper missions you can take your time and plan your moves and setup, however some of the bigger scale missions you may have to slower game speed down at key moments (in single player game speed can be controlled). Further, patch thats in open beta greatly changes some of the aspects since resupply system is much easier to use especially when you are in defense large scale setup so thats something to consider trying. Its always best to play with few friends on heroic, otherwise you may have to save often and play patient. Remember that on heroic you may encounter some units that you may not see otherwise fielded by enemy, but on the fli pside if you ever capture and steal one of them things can swing fast.

I just turned the speed down to 1 permanently and keep a very close eye on everything, don't leave anything to the AI (targeting tanks with the AT guns, positioning infantry among the defenses) and make plenty of saves, which is working so far for this defense level.

-6 decent players work 8 is better but harder to find
-Each player should have role and stick to it he is good at it , i most of time are good with tanks and antytank roles
-Steal as much of enemy tanks as you can and recrew

I don't agree with the co-op approach at all! best way to go is single player. co-op just gets annoying for multiple reasons. Example, you try to call in a group of men and it gives 3/4 of them to the other players, then the other players are to busy or too stupid to give the units back to you or they just wind up giving the units to the wrong person and you end up getting screwed. best way to go is to do the maps in single player, this will allow you to use the save feature as well as the slow/fast time feature of which the slow time feature is useful in situations where you need to be precise in your actions. Next, make sure you have plenty of AT infantry scattered around key areas of the map for the tidal wave of tanks that is soon to come. MAKE SURE TO SAVE OFTEN as well as making backup saves so you have multiple points to load from, this will ensure you don't load a save where you have been screwed over, NEVER USE ONLY ONE SAVE. this way, if you fail horribly simply load a previous save and try again. Rinse and repeat this process until victory is achieved. trying to do it in co-op will just give you a headache and is (imo) a very foolish thing to do. not to mention that most players will wind up quitting the match because they don't realize how time consuming heroic is and hence forth leave's you at a total disadvantage, because now you're alone, as you would have been if you had just gone the single player route to begin with. Now you have no access to the save/load feature and no access to the game speed feature. so if you screw up you have to restart alllll over again just because some little kid 'had school in the morning'. so in short, just go for single player and save your self lots of trouble. just my opinion. but feel free to not listen to me and have fun getting nowhere in co-op. I only have 300+ hours on the game so I must not have enough experience to know what I'm talking about so who am I to tell others what to do right? ( that last sentence was sarcasm, for the stupid people out there that didn't get it. because we all know there's lots of them)

Lo único que tengo que decir es que la opción HARD & HEROICO es una elección de juego de lo mas estúpido y esta demás ... UN DESNIVEL DE INFANTERÍA Y TANQUES ENEMIGOS DESORBITAN-TE, a que programador tan tarado e i-m-b-e-c-i-l se le ocurriría tal emparejamiento. Y para colmo te recortan la cantidad de infantería ... osea peleas 1 contra 100 cada 30 segundos ... que estupidez ...!

Y los DLC ... todos son lo mismo (UNA ESTAFA) ... a excepcion de ... Men of War Origins QUE TRAE UNAS CAMPAÑAS ADICIONALES...!

The only thing I have to say is that the HARD & HEROIC option is the most stupid game choice and that's it... AN INCREASING UNDERSTANDING OF INFANTRY AND ENEMY TANKS, what stupid and i-m-b-e-c-i-l-e programmer would come up with such a pairing. And to top it off, they cut down the amount of infantry... I mean, you fight 1 against 100 every 30 seconds... how stupid...!

And the DLCs... they are all the same (A SCAM)... except for... Men of War Origins WHICH BRINGS SOME ADDITIONAL CAMPAIGNS...!
