In my case, if I am playing alone, I always set fog of war off that way I can prepare myself for whats coming. However when playing co-op, fog of war makes things more interesting (and frustrating sometimes)
No different from real life having no fog of war.. I assume you have air recon pictures on enemy positions before you attack so having no fog of war kind of simulates that. Does any modern army go in blind these days. They still used things like ballons and planes to gain insight on enemy locations back then.
It's also realistic. Someone mentioned aerial recon, but that would not make you able to pinpoint every single unit on the enemy battlefield, especially not in real time.
Thanks for posting your opinions, its helpful
Fog does not affect the unit's vision. The fog setting only affects what YOU see on the battlefield as a commander.
Pretty much. The only real difference between FoW on and off is that with it off, you can issue orders to your troops to fire at enemies they don't actually see, because weapon range is usually a lot greater than view range for most units. With it on you only see any units that have been spotted by your units. This might also be the reason why some people think auto-fire doesn't work. I also sometimes had that impression when I was playing with it off, but since I switched to playing with it on, I never encountered that again.
I think the fact that with it switched on my view and my units' view match is a great advantage when planning defenses, because I can actually tell where my units won't be able to shoot at first glance, which was always kind of an issue before and lead to some frustration every now and then.
but you cant in the game u need change edit .set
documents/men of war assault and squad 2/yourprofilenumber options.set open with notepad
