some actions are only doable in direct control (ammo drop, radio op signal, regular flame thrower). that however is not that obvious for many new players it seems.
a shame there is no propper tutorial.
maybe a modder should make a basic tutorial mission mod. :)
There are new tutorial videos ;)

Except there is still no way to use the grenade in direct control...
wow you have been playing at a disadvantage. I hope that helps.
Always keep the sniper or whoever has the ammo drop grenade
fully in direct control until he has let go of it to the point you want the grenade to land.
If you don't he, will all of a sudden throw it in the direction of the enemy like a regular grenade.
That means your ammo drop crate will land where you did not want it ;
usually out in the open, in full view of the enemy.
ammo paradrop signal grenade.........
I sent a man out and he stepped off the edge ........

haha.. well anyway I did get it figured out, it's useful sometimes but honestly I'm really good about supply trucks and keeping everything stocked (I use tons of mortars all the time). Does the sniper ammo crate refuel or rearm mechanical units like tanks?
