Nuclear Union from Best Way was closed half a year ago right after Gamescom 2013. 1C-Softclub decided to focus on distribution instead of publishing and scraped it.
Dmitry Morozov also told us about Men of War Online, a PVP game based on Men of War multiplayer mode. This project is still early in development, but core gameplay will probably remain the same.
GEM 3 is very different to GEM 2.5 and they are not compatible with each other.
AS2 and further DMS games run on a new engine that is based on GEM 2.5.
The crisis does affect us, as we have an outsourcing team in Eastern Ukraine. At this point we do not expect any heavy impact on our games. Should things get worse, then we will provide support to our team wherever possible.
GEM3 is BestWay engine. Men of War Online will be based on GEM3.
Men of War Assault squad 1/2 are DMS games. AS2 engine is based on GEM 2.5.
All future DMS products will use "their" engine. BestWay will keep using GEM3.
GEM 3 or other engines do not fit our purposes.
