Resupplying Troops
G'day all. I'm a little confused as to how to resupply my units with ammo. I ordered some supply trucks and parked them next to a group of infantry that were out of ammo but nothing happend. Same with some artillery pieces that were all out.

I worked out how to open their inventories, but do I seriously need to manually put ammo in every unit's inventory? Because that's a bit stupid. I want to be commanding my army, not making sure they all have their pants on properly. But hopefully there is an auto-rearm button somewhere that I've just missed.

Its okey for me to resuplly tanks and arty pices. My problem is resupplying individial soldiers. Mowas1 had an auto ammo share option.. missing that here..

The squads share ammo so that´s given and if you take the squad and rearm them as a squad you dont have to put ammo into every single inventory. What´s really needed is the option to split the ammo stacks so you don´t put all shells/rounds into one tank and need another truck for the next tank. Auto re-arm for infantry would be nice too but it works waaay better than in AS now.

You have to grab say 6 riflemen together, take them to the truck,
push X on your keyboard, you should see an eye icon, push X key again if you don't see the eye, then do right-click on rifle bullets in the truck inventory, bullets will all be distributed evenly. Do the same to dead soldiers to loot their ammo and other stuff.

To keep the inventory always open on your screen it is the "i" key.

Well he could have purchased it elsewhere, or you know, pirated it xD

hmm CAN you have a legit copy and not be attached to Steam?
if pirated, hes comments are worthless.. u want help from Devs, buy the game.. otherwise, STFU

Pirated feedback can still be useful. Are you trying to say that owning an illegitimate copy is mutually exclusive with being able to provide useful and beneficial feedback? Steam lets you play your friend's games you know..... his friend probably lets him play when he's at work/etc.

Interestingly enough piracy often leads to legitimate business if that is the case. If your friend steals a game and says wow this game is amazing then you might buy it based on your friends opinion right? It isn't necessarily pretty or perfect but you get the idea. I know a number of people who have HBO because their friends (who were pirating it) went on and on about game of thrones.

The point remains however that squad resupply is pretty terrible at the moment. The most reliable and fastest way to get ammo for a squad is to send one guy out and pick up ammo from dead soldiers. When he returns you drop all that ammo near his allies and then pick it back up. The squad leader will then divide the ammunition between the soldiers. Why not have a squad resupply option? Furthermore a squad of soldiers going over to an ammunition truck should be able to have 1 guy in the squad hit the "squad resupply button" and give all the soldiers in the squad the same ammunition load they start with.

Glythe@ Your first two paragraphs are noted and have credit. I suppose the crux is - that I would rather read constructive posts such as you, yourself are likely to deliver, rather than minor glib statements made by someone that does not possess the game, but may or may not have had a few hours playing the game on his sidekicks PC. The main point is most people on these posts seek answers to questions, not short, smartarse sentences contructed just for the sake of it.
