How do I ask for a refund via steam?
I purchased "Men of War Assault Squad 2" as a preorder back when it was scheduled for February 20th as a release date. One week before release, the company changed the release date to March 20th. I was okay with this as it didn't bother me too much. Now however, they are pushing the date further back and now label the game as "early access". This isn't what I payed for, I do not want to have funds tied up with a game that will not deliver. I would like my refund of $24.95 refunded to my steam wallet. I am fed up and angry over the lack of professionalism that the producers of this game have shown.

Can someone point me in the right direction, please?

Pick 'Account and Billing' and just follow the steps from there after hitting 'Contact Steam Support".

Though your chances of getting a refund may or may not be high since this is now an Early Access title and not a pre-order anymore.

I sincerely wish you luck because you are goind to need it,Steam will likely just dimiss your case based on a technicality(EA=No refunds) rather than review your request based on principal(Situation solely arised from developer's action without enough warning).Dosen't seem that the devs are that keen on helping out folks like you too.

Whatever you do,DON'T RUN THE GAME ANYMORE because Steam can use your playtime as a reason not to approve your refund.

You can still insist that you want a refund if you pester them enough times that they'll give a refund as a 'one-time gesture', but no more.

So better make it count.

I've never been so pissed off in my career of gaming.
Of the 300 games I have bought on Steam, this is by far the most rediculous purchase I have made.

I do appreciate each and everyone of your comments, Thank you for the help.

This is not a situation where they can pull that card.It is the fault of the developers for pulling out such a sudden move.If they have any conscience at all, they will assist OP and anyone else looking to refund by talking with Steam beforehand to make the process smooth and not result in a back and forth arguement that puts a damper on the customer's mood.

Sadly, it is, Early Access bro! It shut off the refund train!

hey dudes did u know there is a hidden 1C sale right now for men of war classic games?

What meaning has this thread instead of ranting? 300 games bought via steam but no clue how to ask for redund, use steam support? No offense but this lacks truth :D

Lack of truth?
Sorry for my ignorance on refunds, I rarely use Steam support because I rarely have a problem.

...and the rant is justified if you have played the original Assault Squad and have went through all the garbage that 1C has been throwing out these past few months.

cants refund early access :c

I played pretty much every title that is connected to MoW MoW:AS and I never really had a reason to complain. :)
Steam Support is pretty user friendly in it´s accessability so I file this under "Just remove the signs" :D Have a nice day and good luck with your request anyway. :)

I think the most important things are:

Don't start up the game anymore
Be persistent. If they decline your refund keep on it. Normally they can easily decline your refund request, because for software you have very limited refund rights. But as the developer basically changed the contract they had with you - without giving you enough time to react to it - you should have a legal claim on a refund.

As has been said already, its Early Access so no refunds.
I wish they had simply delayed it another month without putting it on Early Access so I could at least get my money back. Seeing how Early Access games usually stay in early access, im assuming we'll at least get the British or Japanese by december. Never buying another 1C game because of these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ delays announced just days before the release date

As has been said already - this is a special case and I'm fairly certain if you explain it you can get a refund.

I agree, this debacle if unresolved will be the straw that broke the camels back. I will never purchase another title on this service if steam doesnt refund this downright scam of a title.
