Men Of War: Assault Squad 2 sharing units in co-op
is anyone else annoyed with having to share units during co-op missions?

well do u think they will fix this?

When they find a suitable but solid system to replace it with, then they can, right now its to stop people just buying every unit and leaving nothing for everyone else.

i can see that being a problem as well, but the whole sharing units is a big distaction while trying to fight and hold down a area and having to look back and find units that arent yours and transfer them back to ur friends, you can see how annoying that can be.

It is annoying, the system currently gives the new unit to the player with the lowest amount of current units, its hard to come up with a new system that gives balance to the current system, but doesn't bugger up the flow of the gameplay at the same time.

I've been thinking of a new system DMS can try, which is possibly the best and sorts out this issue, but right now they are busy fixing the performance issues going on, i'll probably forward it to them when they are done with that.

yeah that would help lets hope they will give ur idea a shot to fix this problem.

Yep theres lot of problematics on this, it needs to be fair and work in every single situation.

Playing with random people, when playing with friends or a mix of both

I don't understand the issue here. "Playing with random or playing with friends" is no problem. Doesn't DMS know that there is a settings screen before the game starts? Why not just add an option "reinforcement" and there you select "shared" (current system) "distribution" (points get distributed between players and everyone can call their own units) or "trust" (everyone has the same points, like in "shared" but the guy who calls the units gets the units)

either one works for me and thats really the only big problem i haev with MOW is the sharing units and besides leaving at all the units you can really get in campaign mode which in my mind dosent seem quite fair. I mean they give you all the units when you play other players but not when you're doing single player.

It has to do with balancing. Most SP maps would be way to easy if you could get early Artillery as the AI is too stupid to react to anyting. You only have 2 sets of AI. "Hold position" or "Attack in that direction." They wouldn't know how to deal with an artillery. Thats why the units are restricted.

Or maybe both players have their own amount of points for reinforcements so they can call in what they want, when they want and not have a shared total. Just like wargame or company of heroes etc

These two systems are so simple and would probably take a matter of hours to implement. I prefer the second one because it would allow the reinforcement menus to be separate as well. Nothing's more annoying than when I go to call in some infantry and another player switches the menu to armor. Actually the only thing more annoying is having to constantly transfer everyone else's units to them because I have the lowest points; Takes like 80% of the enjoyment out of the game having to constantly micromanage like that.

More frustrating when you have a 3-5 vet, elite squad armed to the teeth holding the front lines and you just hear "Reinforcments have arrived!" and risk them dying to hand over something as meagre as a truck and 2 rifleman.

This issue appears each and every sales since release. Devs answeared that they belive that unit distribution uses qote :"best of the both world, to deliver nice amount of action for every participant."

Althou I was one of these who tryed to make a sound to help game gets better, here is not a chance. Devs know better what is good for you, enjoy it or get banned. That is how it works with this company.
