Hey stalker, I'd be happy to troubleshoot this issue with you if you would add me we can brainstorm what might be causing this.

Its possible the game is trying to load a mod that is no longer active, when you reinstalled game did you ever manually check if actual mowas 2 folder under steamapps was removed? You should also look if game.log in my documents\my games\mowas2\log shows any clues

Thanks for your help DeltaDude i appriciate it. @DjSatane I have a feeling this is what the problem might be. If i remember correctly i activated a mod and played it for a bit. This mod may have still been active after i shut the game down. The game may have been patched the following day. When i reinstalled the game the mowas2 folder was removed yes, but once installed, a test mod folder appears automatically in the mods section i dont know if this is normal or not. Again, thanks for your help gentlemen.

You also deleted all the remaining Mowas 2 files from the install folder and unsubsribed the mods you were using? Cause its possible the mods automatically install everytime you install the game again causing the same conflict everytime.

The test mod comes with the game, so thats normal.

@ Vashyo, correct i unsubbed the mods in workshop and deleted everything. I might try to check the dump file myself for clues. Is there an easier way to do this or (from what ive read) just get the windows sdk with debug tool? BTW when i verify the cache after a fresh install, all is normal until it crashes once, at which point one file in the cache needs verification. Weird huh?

Hey guys, after reading through some threads on crashing games, i tried to disable steam cloud sync and mowas2 started right up. It solved the problem. Thanks for helping and at least we know now for the future in case someone els has this problem.

ok, i am having the same problem. So do i need to disable the steam cloud sync? If so, how do i do that?

if the vanilla game is the problem right click and disable steam cloud check mark, if its mods just start the game in safe mode with no mods. So it would be right click the game in steam/properties/updates/disable steam cloud sync. sry im lazy typing

Do you use a Windows computer (Windows 10)? If you do, then I had a similar problem, except that it crashed during gameplay. I used troubleshooter on the game and it hasn't crashed since. [Open the folder with MOWAS2 in it and right click the game's application and select troubleshoot compatability]
