The lack of infantry animations in MOW has always been a bit annoying, but at the same time I imagine there is a performance tradeoff with having ragdolls for infantry if you wanted to have really big battles with over 200 infantry on the map at any one time.
my biggest beef is with the animation are in cover. For instance, trenches, with the soldier doing that weird crouch where they look the opposite way when they are crouching, and then turning around and standing straight up when they shoot over cover. I would love to see animations where the soldiers lean on the trenches when shooting their weapons, etc.
I also think MOW handles the building cover method is pretty bad. Instead of "linking" individual soldiers to windows where they stand awkwardly shooting out, they should instead be assigned by the player facing a direction of the building, and then move and shoot inside the building.

the more affects you add the worse performance. I think your suggestions are good - but theres always a balance between performance and ehancements. Likely you will see ragdoll/other affects in CTA, not in mow.
Maybe in CtA within next10 years.
Although I do agree with Tenacious - new animations are never, ever going to happen. They haven't bothered to update the terrible animations since, and they won't bother to update it later. One day, if the series is still going on, these will probably be the game's downfall.
ahh i see, okay, but its only for multiplayer right? if its only for that maybe u can only add it for singleplayer or editor only?
Ive played all the soldiers franchise from the russian only releases to AS2 and I can safely say that the character anims have never troubled me at all.
If they kept similar animations in CtA it wouldnt bother me in the least.
Yes, updates are always lovely, but to say that it will be a huge downfall is a little OTT IMHO.
