MOWAS 2 should add ragdoll physics and others.
this is why they should add ragdoll physics (and some death animations like coughing blood before dying or crawling at the ground before death or etc)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnNBezPkzmo

(WARNING: Video may contain gore and not recommended for the light hearted and plus the video IS NOT mine. i DO NOT claim as it was mine)

I'd love to see bodies hanging from windows, tanks crews flying when the tank blows up, tank crews killed and stuck at the tank hatches while trying to go inside/outside the tank, etc

being able to throw a granade inside the tank would also be a good idea, so infantry would be more valuable to protect tanks from flanking enemies

and maybe some animations when they are idling, breathing, reloading, anim in combat, crouching, and etc. Not just some animations like they are smoking while idling, and being so stiff while in cover (they got no animation when in a crouched, prone, or standing cover.)

and also maybe a new movement mode that allows them to move while crouched.
Decaps might be nice too. Ragdolls and decaps at Omaha Beach will be epic.

Dead bodies gone while getting run over by a tank is also annoying tho.

Blood wounds at bodies (dead or alive soldiers), floating bodies at water, and blood at walls, tanks, fences, etc (blood sparks they say it) would really add more realism and the feeling that you're at the game itself

Also tanks should have weights too, since a pz IV can move a T-34 wreckage so easily at the game

If they are worried about the +18 rating thingy they can always at a button to disable the gore scences.

And maybe melee fights? so the japanese can use katanas and banzai forwards xD

and if u have some brilliant idea maybe u can post it at the comments section

(NB: this is the first time i started a discussion so if i did something wrong please remind me)

decaps like arms, legs, heads, etc just like in the video tho..
Brothers in Arms was the shiznit.

The lack of infantry animations in MOW has always been a bit annoying, but at the same time I imagine there is a performance tradeoff with having ragdolls for infantry if you wanted to have really big battles with over 200 infantry on the map at any one time.

my biggest beef is with the animation are in cover. For instance, trenches, with the soldier doing that weird crouch where they look the opposite way when they are crouching, and then turning around and standing straight up when they shoot over cover. I would love to see animations where the soldiers lean on the trenches when shooting their weapons, etc.

I also think MOW handles the building cover method is pretty bad. Instead of "linking" individual soldiers to windows where they stand awkwardly shooting out, they should instead be assigned by the player facing a direction of the building, and then move and shoot inside the building.

yes indeed i agree with what you say, but these days having no ragdoll physics is just.. yeahh

tank crews currently fly out of tanks quite often. You can see a goliath fly well over 100 meters in game here at 7:39:

the more affects you add the worse performance. I think your suggestions are good - but theres always a balance between performance and ehancements. Likely you will see ragdoll/other affects in CTA, not in mow.

That wont happen in this game.
Maybe in CtA within next10 years.

well yes but i hope they can balance things out since ppl's been saying that mowas2 just adds nice graphics, few game enchancements and multiplayer thingy... i think that mowas2 will be the new look of the MoW game series after so many other series.

This game really does need a complete overhaul of the infantry animations - it's been using the same animations since Faces of War. Especially the glitchy death animations. Animations are a big part of the game, and it can have a big impact of what people think of it.

Although I do agree with Tenacious - new animations are never, ever going to happen. They haven't bothered to update the terrible animations since, and they won't bother to update it later. One day, if the series is still going on, these will probably be the game's downfall.

Ragdoll physics normally are not normally tracked by netcode correct they are only client side effect as far as I remember. Since a lot of rubble and broken parts in gem2 can become cover for troops to use and dead bodies and even weapons can be scavenged those items cannot really work well with ragdoll phsics since they have to be tracked for all clients.

ahh i see, okay, but its only for multiplayer right? if its only for that maybe u can only add it for singleplayer or editor only?

The developers are not capable of adding better infantry animations without huge drops in performance and out-of-sync issues. They are struggling to get the current game running smooth. The game is still very fun despite infantry animations. I don't think it's a big deal really. It'll probably ruin the game if they try to add more things.

Besides, big explosions still launch bodies and people hundreds of metres in the air which is hilarious to watch! :D

Hello there

Ive played all the soldiers franchise from the russian only releases to AS2 and I can safely say that the character anims have never troubled me at all.

If they kept similar animations in CtA it wouldnt bother me in the least.

Yes, updates are always lovely, but to say that it will be a huge downfall is a little OTT IMHO.

I would love ragdolls and death animations, like COH! but they they probably cant make it happend without the performance dropping - so i'll just hope the creators listen to the fans and fix the inf animations:USstar: :CrossedBlades::BalkanCross:
