What graphics card does your laptop have?

If it has a dedicated GPU you should be able to.

It would be easier if you copy and pasted a dxdiag report though :)

You can play it on alaptop, as long as your GPU is strong enough.
I got Lenovo Y50, game runs perfectly on max settings

I have Intel HD Graphics 8000 on my Samsung laptop, runs fine. I even host games. It all depends on your processor. I have an i5.

that is why we have so many complains about de-syncs...
people like you join the game with their 10fps and ruining the game for everyone ales
well done

lower perfs actually REDUCE the likelyhood of desyncs.

But yet these computers that fall below the line for MOWAS2... BUT work fine for many other of todays games, just not this one! More than likely, not the pc's problem, but more of an optimization problem.

And the game engine is ten years old, todays pc's should have no problem playing it...

Many AAA titles have optimization issues, BattleField 3 is a good example,
with BF4 released, BF3 was neglected with many issues still there.
You must understand that there is an accepted limit to coding quality, or better said coding lack of quality, and AS2 is withing this limit. Devs actually dont have to spend time and money attending those 5\10% of the community who have issues, its even within the legal threshhold!
Look at Microsoft and Vista as a referance
Look at EA and BF3
Look at Ubisoft and X-Rebirth
This game is actually in a great state!
Problem is, that with the gain in popularity of programs such as Steam that promote sales long before the official game releas, we start having games that become old and outdated long before they come out of beta phase, a direct result of the insane rush with DirecX and GPUs developers. That is also the reason to the difficulties the devs have fixing issues such as performance issues, as GPUs and CPUs evolving so fast that a 1 year old game engine quickly becomes so much outdated that the newest hardware and drivers have competability issues...
I think the ONLY game that menaged to hold on through the test of time is World of Warcraft, but they have 10 Mil subscribers, who are paying 20Euros every month, make the math... They can afford spending millions on competability patches every few months.
