direct ip setup?

hi, how exactly do i set up direct ip when playing with a friend outside my lan?
i gave my friend in an other city my ip, he put it in options/multiplayer, i opend
a lan game but he could find this game. am i doing something wrong?

Try doing it as a 2 way connection. You send him your IP, he sends you his IP. You both enter it in the options. If you have problems let me know and I will help you set it up.

hm, but what is the workaround if 3 people want to play?

The Host will add the 3 peoples ip, the 3 people will add the host. They do not all need to add each other.

Don't forget to do port-forwarding in your router or it will not work.

After the port forward you will need to turn off router for 30 minutes on most.

On most routers you will not need to turn anything off. If you do a 60second power cycle is plenty.

that's true on some you will need 60 seconds, but remember to unplug all your usb devices before.

Hey me and my friend tried this and it still didn't work what ip address do we use the ipv4 one or a different one please help. I would love to play men of war with my friends
