use in-game settings, the only time you use Nvida panel thing is when you want an option that the game does not have an option for. Like that DSR that you can force on most games. But even with my 890Ti @ 1455Mhz, I would thing twice before using it in games like arma 3 etc. You can basically force a game to render in 4k, then downsample back to your screen res. but at a massive GPU/CPU cost.
