Men of War: Assault Squad 2

Men of War: Assault Squad 2

HAalp...no seriously. My windows 8 dell laptop is a potato and I am not of PC master race.
Okay, so when I first got this game...it could barely run. I immediately went to editor & It ran smoothly without crash....but the lag was unbearable. I need an easy and free way to turn the graphics down to a reasonable level and assist the preformance of the game. PLEASE. I'm only 16 and I am a finnancially poor console-peasent. I barely know squat about computer software/hardware and how to tweak around with. (In other words, building my own computer is no-where NEAR an option or possibilty.) It may seem like simple childs-play to all of you, but to me? Its like a cave-man trying to calculate square-routes. So I beg of you, if there is ANY way you can help me that doesn't involve money, it would be greatly appreciated(a step by step list is prefered though). "Men of War: Assault squad 2" Is the perfect RTS game for me. If you could do this, I'll find a way to repay you, just ask.

-My computer is an windows8 Dell-laptop, .
-I am currently using windows 10.
-intel CORE i3
-I can run medeavil 2 total war, world of tanks, Civ 5, Empire total war(medium graphics), ESO, TESV & SKSE(well barely), Dayz(low graphics), and a few others that don't matter.
- I can't run Rome 2 or Attila(Don't care since they're crappy games)
-I CAN run blitzkrieg 1, 2 and 3 but they just aren't the same MOF:AS2.

That is all I know as of right now. Thank you.

Well, it's a laptop, so you can't really do anything on the hardware side except maybe add some more ram, but that's not the problem anyway. The real issue (other than your processor being slow) is that your laptop probably doesn't have a real graphics chip (GPU), but instead just has the graphics rendering built in to the processor (it's called integrated graphics). There really isn't much you can do about this, since laptops don't have a PCI slot for you to put your own graphics card in.

On the software side of things, the easiest thing you can do is close all other programs when you run the game, and uninstall anything that you don't use. Many programs have some kind of background process that takes up a small amount of resources all the time, and those can really add up. Also, change your theme to "Windows Classic" - it looks like Windows 2000 but speeds things up considerably.

Since you don't know much about PCs, this part could be difficult, but maybe you could get a tech-savvy friend to help: Reinstall Windows. The version of Windows 8 that Dell put on your computer is full of Dell c-r-a-p-ware that slows it down (as if Win8 isn't bad enough already). Get a Windows 7 disk (on Amazon, or download it from you-know-where and burn it to a DVD) and install it over your current installation. It will preserve your files but you will have to reinstall all the drivers for your PC as well as any software you have.

The minimum specs, and even recommended specs, for mowas2 are pretty low, you could get a refurbished media center PC for like $125 that could probably run it, like this

Thank you! Unfotunately, my parents keep saying "NO JOB UNTIL YOU HAVE NOTHING BUT GOOD GRADES AND A DIPLOMA!" ...theyre in their 60s, so they don't understand society is different and even more unfair now.

Try lowering desktop resolution.
There isn't much you can do for your dell potato.

Parents aren't going to let you get a job?
♥♥♥♥ that.
Tell them you need a job.
At least for your Resume.
Most places won't hire you if you are over 18 and have no previous job experience. Well most good/Acceptable places. Well, that is how it is in Australia. I have many mates who left the "Getting a job" part to the last minute. Now they can't find a job. And are pretty much buggered.

Why would you employ someone who is 20, and has no previous Customer Service experience?
When you could hire a 20 yearold who has had 3 jobs since they were 15.

EXCACTLY!!!

I have been trying to tell them this for ages! Even the therapist got involved. He said he agrees with me but he can't do anything.
