Performance issues on high end PC
I will be straightforward

My specs are Intel I7 10gen + Nvidia RTX 3070 + 32 gb RAM

My rig has zero trouble keeping stable 72fps in RTX games such as DOOM Eternal and Metro: Exodus on maximus possible settings. I am playing MOWAS2 with ultra settings in 1440p.

Yet I am having HUGE performance issues in this game, even if i downgrade some of the unnecessary settings. (Yeah I gotta admit, this is not the only game i have troubles with, but still. It's 2014 game and i am playing on RTX rig)

By "HUGE" performance issues i mean - sometimes my FPS just can't get above 40. It's usually on 8x8 maps, but i have 50-60 fps drops on small maps too. Very terrible sutiation for a 2014 strategy game in which i see objects being loaded in front of my eyes, as i change my camera angle.

Don't even start it about how 3070 "is not strong anymore" just because 40gen is coming out soon. My rig is still at least 3 generations ahead of the games' recommended requirements, and is capable of RTX/4K gaming after all

I really don't understand what is the problem here.

Is anyone else experiencing such problems?
Is there any particular setting that decreases average FPS so much, that i should turn off?
I don't really hope for it to get fixed by devs, so, is there anything i should check on my side?

Maybe a driver issue. I run it max graphics everything with a 5600X/3070/32GB RAM and it runs at a locked 73fps (75Hz 1440p, adaptive sync monitor). This game is old and should run on a potato. I do believe it is running on 32bit code however, which they moved to 64bit with Gates of Hell, which I can also run maxed out at 1440p. I haven't played on anything bigger than 4x4 maps, so that could be the problem with the 32bit code.

Hi,

I'm experiencing the same fps trouble with my completely new PC that has pretty good specs.

My specs are AMD Ryzen 7 7700 8-Core Processor + AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT + 32 GB RAM.

The guide with the Nvidia control panel solution doesn't work for me, due to me not using a Nvidia graphics card so I'm wondering if there's a a more up to date solution for my PC to get MOWAS2 running smoothly in with more stuff happening in game.
