Game won't launch up editor

So everytime I try to go into the editor or even launch the game, I get a gamelogic error and it crashes. I have tried uninstalling the mods, updated every single damn thing I've seent he devs put up on these discussions, and even updated my windows and reinstalled the game four times now. Nothing. Any help would be appreciated. Before this last dev update, I never had a problem.

Launch your game directly from the steam install folder. If there is an error message,please post it.

i still get an error message. it goes through the black loading screen and then crashes. message reads:

"Program will be terminated. APP_ERROR:resource'/interface/splash_editor.bmp' is not a valid supported image (ebitmapImageStd.cpp,95) EIP+775835d2 [render material_load] EAX=0617fb78 EBX=759de40 ECX=0000004 EDX=00000000 ESI=0617fcb4 EDI=279e4f40 ESP=0617fb78 EBP=0617fbd4 >img.std.get_surface(/interface/splash_editor.bmp)

Do you have any issue with sound card / headphone?
Did you run editor as administrator?

no i do not, it crashes as it says starting game. also yes i have gone and made it set to always run as admin
