Is this better than CoH 2?

I'm thinking about buying this because I'm tired of arcadey "who spams harder" with not much tactics gameplay that coh has. Looking for something more realistic with maybe prolongued operations or team fights(bigger maps etc.). Is multiplayer alive, is it worth getting into this game?

Really if you want to play this game, it's with friends, not randoms. Still, it's a good game

I think so, but as a new buyer I'd probably go with Gates of Hell. It looks a lot better than this game.

In my opinion, Gates of Hell is not as good as this game. It may look better, but it is not as good as this one.

This game may look like a 2000's browser game, but it is truly a gem. Mods are also very helpful in making this game even better, but vanilla is just as good. I highly recommend Valour mod, with this.

if you mean company of heroes 2 is better this game because you can select units one by one and make groups inn company of heroes 2 you just get one unit of 6 people

you can get the complete edition for 3 dollars on G2A so you dont have to feel like you wasted money if you dont like it

once you get it , i would play valour or robz realism . valour is alot more casual , but robz is for the kids with over 50000000 hours in the game who know how to break every little exploit, and nade spam all day. not much tactics in mow for pvp, its more of a meta .

I love both games. But they are two different games of different genres. Men of War is RTT and Company is RTS.

Men of War AS2: no base building, more tactical, more realistic
Company of Heroes 2: base building like Command and Conquer, fast paced, arcadey, casual

Men of War also has editor, direct control, mods
Company of Heroes 2 doesn't have extensive mods

Yea it's worth it. I have COH2 but barely bothered to play it because I have this. Get the whole thing pretty cheap on sale. Still one of the best games around ever. ♥♥♥♥♥ on the workshop, for example, has absolutely brilliant mission mods that you can co-op with multiple friends, prolonged missions, Omaha, Kharkov 1943, etc. they are the only mod you need to enable to play them. Some of the modded stuff might be a bit more demanding hardware wise, but the base game I was playing for a long time on my old pc from 2009. If you want something tactical this is what you want. you have to keep an eye on your fuel and ammo too. You'll get used to it quickly once you learn a few hard to work out controls from tutorials and wikis, like refuelling. Even singleplayer is brilliant, lots of fantastic campaigns on the workshop, like Wacht am Rhine, which you can also co-op I believe. The game comes with lots of really fun missions but some of the workshop stuff is incredible, better than any game developer has made

CoH 2 has big mods that are overhauling the game and all of it's aspects turning it into a more "hardcore" RTS (Spearhead and Wikinger are two examples)
But yeah, they're not the same game at all.

I prefer CoH 2 because the AI is able to fight back and sometimes give you a hard time playing skirmish. (If this game had skirmishes and an actual AI, I would play it more.)

To each their own I guess.

CoH is too casual and 'gamey'. Its basically a reskin of Dawn Of War.

Men Of War in my opinion is the greatest WW2 RTS due to a nice balance of realism and game mechanics.
