It's okay to use arty, but only for specific cercumstances.
-repelling an attack
-Area denial
-Bait
Light tanks are god if you can micro-manage them
-They are fast
-They are small
-They can pen most tanks from the side
Medium tanks vary
-M4s are good for peaking hills and using their gun depression and angled front armor to shoot targets
-T-34 has trolly armor and the 57mm one is great for accuracy and pen
-Panzer 4 gun can pen most and has enough frontal armor to block lower caliber guns hits
-Chi-to, no one plays japan so don't worry
Heavy tanks are meat sheilds, you keep them at a distance from the enemy and hope it soaks up enough shots that the enemy runs out of ammo
Infantry are bread and butter, use them everywhere
-Militia are only good for spotting, using them as foder just wastes your points
-Standard squad comes with 2smgs 1machinegun and 7riflemen, they are great for holding down fields or areas with a larger no mans land
-Assualt squad is better for close quaters with more smgs and anti-tank grenades, Use this for clearing and securing urban areas
-airbone,marine, These come with semi-auto rifles and more machine guns and maybe anti-tank bazooka or rifle, Like standard squad but better and more suvivability
-Elite, Best infantry you'll have, high health and damage + good guns, They are best for assualting and clearing enemy.
Infantry tactics
-AT rifles can destroy fencing and one hit kill an enemy troop, use these guys early game (also a good substitute for a sniper)
-AT bazooka has an area of damage, good for killing entire rushing squads and wounding elites
-AT grenades, great for sneaking up to a tank and killing, but also good for destroying buildings and obsticales
Snipers are best used for their stealth, set him on return fire only and sneak him across enemy lines and wait to kill a radio operator or officer
Some nations paratroopers/marines come with anti-infantry mines, if they are doing anything, it only takes a half min to set up a minefield
Keep track of a soldiers health, if he's about to die, retreat them off the frontline to heal themselfs (Really saves you points for later game)
Create lines of troops, Ideally you want every single troops to fire at the same target to kill it faster, but make sure they are spread out enough not to all die at once from arty/tank/atgun and not suppressed by a single machine gun.
Flamethrowers usually are not that effective, but you get style points for managing to light up a squad or a tank
Arty spotters or (radio operators) are a really♥♥♥♥♥♥move, but if you track a tank they can usually kill it.
Atguns
-LightAT gun, good for early game, can destroy enemy cover with it's AP shot and destroy light tanks and vechles. Also good for late game if an enemy breaks through the side you can have a side shot which the LightAT can pen usually
-MeduimAT gun, larger target than light at gun not as effective are the largeAT gun, I do not recommend you use this.
-LargeAT gun, Great for killing tanks from the front
Atgun tactics
-ATguns have better cammo thank tanks, untill they fire however, once a tank is close enough to pen, then allow the atgun to fire at will
-Atguns are more inexpensive than tanks but will be killed a lot quicker and are more susptiple to arty, move the ATgun after every time it reveals its self.
For the special units, you'll have to find what works for you.
And a guide for assualting or taking ground would be harder to type out than show so...... maybe later
Dont cry
Be like a man, try hard and you deserve respect.
Play singleplayer to learn the basics and play multiplayer (solo) to get the meta.

Flamethrowers can actually be very effective if you use them correctly they are very good at taking out fortified enemy infantry positions, including pesky AT positions, and can be used to take out light armor pretty easily plus if you get a sherman "croc" or a churchhill with a flamethrower attachment you can easily take out enemys hiding in ares such as grass fields, forests, houses, and bunkers or just use them against a large infantry column or a light armored unit causing trouble. If you use a flame thrower supported by and couple of infantry men to take out a AT gun position you can easily take the position with armor support, it all depends on what you use them along side with and when you use them i would reccomend only using them with support from a small infantry squad combined with armor support after your first succeed in making it safe for the armor to role in
