Is it worth it to get Assault Squad 2: Men of War Origins

I own it. I do not recommend you purchase it. they just took the file from the original 2009 man of war ported it to Assault Squad 2 and very badly. many of the video cutscene are not shown correctly in comparison to the original man of war and certain mission structure are broken do to the updated engine as mission do not play out as they originally intended.

If your reason for purchasing Assault Squad origin is to play multiplayer I suggest you buy the original one from 2009 and use a third party system such as gameranger or evolve to play with your friend online. it is far cheaper to get the old version with the full experience than this one. in fact when the DLC is on sale you can basically buy 5 copies of the original one for the same price of Assault Squad origin.

You also have the added benefit of the original one that run flawlessly on Modern system compared to this one. another thing Assault Squad origin even if you owned it and finish the campaign you are not able to post a review on the store page. very convenient.

I would say it is the opposite since they copy and paste the original file and put it on the new engine they didn't change anything.

Unlike in Assault Squad 2 campaign the AI will sometime repair the damaged vehicle and guns an attempt to reuse it. it is not the case from what I had played through with the DLC.

so the ai improvements are not for skirmnish? Cuz i own all the men of war games, except as2 so I am not really worried about missions. If i want to play as1 missions, i can do that. I just want to know if the origins dlc improves skirmish in anyway

Also Men of War Assault Squad 2 origin got absolutely nothing to do with the current Assault Squad 2 Skirmish single player whatsoever is only add the mission from the original man of war of 2009 nothing else.

If I were you I would just get it to mod it, I’ve just been playing in the editor and having a blast. You have a ton of variety in the workshop, plus Galaxy at war is a really cool mod if you’re into Star Wars.

so why would i get origins to mod it then? I am not asking if i should get mowas2 i am asking if I should get the poorly labled and extremely confusing assault squad 2 men of war origins dlc.
