"Fixed far shooting of tanks"
There are several types of far shooting. None of them are fixed. Reducing armor penetration is not a fix. This is duct tape

Even robz "fixed" it better, they couldnt have taken the idea from him, basically if you aim further than your maxrange, your gun dispersion/accuracy goes out of the window, so you can only farshoot through objects, but not with a bug. This change doesnt change much, you can still farshoot with HE rounds and have same efficiency, plus you still have okay penetration values at 20-30 m after maxrange.

Yeah, it just drops your pen more drastically above maximum aiming range. You will have only 4 pen around 180 meters, with chi nu.

I honestly find it kind of silly that even the highest velocity guns or heaviest artillery pieces can only fire ~150 meters. It's just so silly. 150 meters is like point blank range for even small-caliber anti tank weapons like 20mm. If you're going to ban farshooting at least make the ranges something remotely relatable to reality.

The reason that tank and artillery ranges are so small in this game is becuase of the map sizes. If the map sizes and vehicle/artilery ranges were realistic, the game would be very unenjoyable and extremely hard to run

Not quite the engine for that kind of ranges, even 3x3 km maps would lag, especially in mutliplayer, especially if you tried to make a map that would match current ones in details.

:honor: Greetings & salutations, the way many expierenced players play this game you might as well allow, AT Guns & Tanks to hit anything they can see by line of sight. This would equal the playing field for those who don't exploit. Also reduce the dammage tables at the extreme ranges to simulate physics and help curb exploit & abuse. There are many in this game that would exploit their Granny if it would give them and edge and allow them to win all the time or be labled a pro. This game is full of exploiters. Fix the exploits and the game and average players experience would improve. Maybe we shouldn't expect so much realism from this game in the first place since it's not a true simulation and the limits of it's dated engine etc.. I wish you all good fortune in the wars to come regardless of the direction of this game.:colt:
