Just to clarify: I just open a singleplayer mission, like a US mission, and I edit somethings, add vehicles, people, buildings, etc. and then I click Esc, press the save button and then exit to play, but everytime I try to play the edited mission, the original missions (unedited, base game) load.
I editted using the F2 mode only.
If just Origins, I don't think you can use mods ?
You cannot edit the game map files in the editor.
They are protected from being edited.
You have to make your own mod with the map files.
Look here -

You have to go search on this forum or Workshop discussions forum
or Google how to extract the files and make your own mod.
I run into the same problem with the base game singleplayer "skirmishes/missions" (Ex. The U.S. campaign, mission Bastogne).
Does editing work in the base game singleplayer missions, or is also protected from editing?
When I edit, I usually add new soldiers, new vehicles, new defenses, patch up broken walls, add new buildings, etc.
I do this all in F2 mode, then press the save button, and exit to go start AS2, but every time I go on to the mission I just edited, everything I did doesn't show up.
Also, how do you save in F3 mode? The only option is like 0.mil or something like that.
F2 is for map editing.

Hey O()O - do you happen to know how to edit Reinforcement units in existing (Vanilla) Missions? Thanks!
If I needed to I would probably have a look at editing the 0 mission file,
like seeing if I could swap existing units for different ones.
This might be useful -

Thanks - here is what I did so far:
1) Extract Vanilla SP mission .pak file using Winrar and place it in a new folder (user_mod).
2) Create the user_mod info and folder structure and ensure the maps folder contains the extracted SP map files.
3) Open Editor and open the map and the mission (0.mi)
4) Scroll to the edge of the map and find the reinforcements that are scheduled to appear in the mission (Trigger dependent)
5) Select the broken/bugged units (which look like blue spiders) and check their Breed and Skin settings. You can change them one by one or drag-select and change them all until the spiders are replaced by units from the mod you choose to play (e.g. RobZ Realism).
6) Save both the map and the mission.
7) Make sure that the user_mod loads last (at the top of the sequence) to ensure that the modified missions are the ones that get loaded by the game.
I would have just loaded the mission in editor, F3
and changed the blue spiders to different equivalent breeds that work.
Yes but I find that playing in the Editor the draw distance is lower and I cannot set AI difficulty. Do you know how?

Draw distance ?
In F3 mode you can see all the reinforcements lined up on the edge of the map
so you can edit them.
BTW you only need to save & work with the 0 mission file.
The map file you don't need to save because it is not used for units.
You can only work with the 0.mi file if you extract the SP map paks into your own mod. Otherwise you cannot over-write it.
But what happens if you have SP missions in a mod and the same SP missions in Vanilla and you open Editor? Which SP mission is it going to open?
The mod overrides the vanilla.
When you choose Load option in F3,
The 0.mi mission file from the mod will be different color, light blue / cyan.
