Very Toxic community?
Is there no active community somewhere that'd teach new people things they don't know and answer questions without auto kicking people right off the bat? w/ coms

:honor:Greetings & Salutations, Indeed it is very toxic. full of stalkers & immature minds. The devs choose to ignore the problem & will most likely delete this. There is such a community, though it's invite only & i'm the gateway. If you are friendly non toxic yourself then add me. Racism, trolling, & toxic behavior isn't allowed. Regardless of what you decide to do I wish you good fortune in the wars to come.:colt:

Dont trust this guy, he always teamstacks (every time i saw him host and teams there) with his friends against newbies, whom he invites in his group or just random ones, he will kick worthy opponents due to arbitrary reasons mid game, like killing his arty because it is "spawn camping", apparently double standarts let him and his teammates camp in their own spawn with arty.

This is one of his noobstomping pals for example.

As for random kicking, even 1 incompetent - "underleveled" teammate can ruin the match in this game, thus people tend to balance and play with and against players from their league. though teamstacking is a problem too, but it is easy to notice such a host. Finding a balanced game for a newbie might be tough.

Наверное так же как и в других мультиплеерных соревновательных играх. Кто использует это слово в данном контексте не иронично и вообще заботиться об "этом"?

Unfortunately it really goes down to flaws in the game mechanics, not the people playing. Nobody wants to play a game where one side of their team gets completely overrun because an inexperienced player is coming up against some guy with 3000 hours. AS2 is unlike a lot of other games because everybody needs to be doing their part, pretty much constantly. If one side gets overrun, chances are you've essentially lost the game (As long as the other sides are evenly contested, which they would most likely be if everybody else is on the same skill level)

On the other hand, I've seen plenty of instances where what I just described has happened, and that inexperienced player gets completely destroyed, quits the game and pretty much never returns.

There's a massive skill curve in this game and combine that with a small, ever dwindling and divided community, it's simply going to be very difficult for you to find a "good" game. Personally I blame that on a lot of factors, primarily the lack of any reasonable ranking system or matchmaking.

You make it sound like every other game communities out there aren't just as toxic or worse.

In the original men of war from 2009. There was a ban system in place in the general Lobby. For example for poor conduct upon other players that would result in a ban such as racist slur and profanity as well as threat.

It was a very effective system. First offense was a 3 day's ban. Second offense 2 weeks. Do it multiple times. A month or more ban. It was a very good system. Because if you request for the reason why you were banned they always provide it. So you cannot pretend that you didn't deserve it.

The ban system was in place all the way since soldiers heroes of World War II but DMS decided to exclude it from Assault Squad 2.

The ban system still exists but it is only enforce to anyone that have any constructive criticism about DMS and their games.

Me and some buddies just bought the game and are going through it slowly, trying to learn everything and just having some relaxing MP matches.

Feel free to add me if you'd like to join us. We usually play evenings, EST.

A good way to learn game is to host own game online with pass code and then assign AI players as your team mates and as enemy, changing the difficulty level of AI as you get better. The AI is pretty decent for a new player learning.

I learned toxic player on my first game, one guy told me i should give him that morser unit but i didnt know how, then he said i should do this now "motherf***r. I told him back that he should tell me how and then getting kicked instantly.

There are plenty of non-toxic players out there, it's just that only the loudest voices are heard, and most of the decent people tend to choose to remain silent. There are plenty of non-toxic players out there though, you just have to find them.

As in almost all games there is a sense of "elitism", and for this game it is only compounded because of the high learning curve. And yes, people enjoy "noob-stomping" because it's an easy win. Thankfully this game has pretty decent PvE aspects that allow you to learn the game while playing with other players. There are also plenty of guides out there that have been written that are aimed at players of all skill levels, so learning from these and using them as a resource will also help to reduce the learning curve somewhat.

As for Emperor's Gene Seed, he's a pretty cool guy, he just doesn't like to take ♥♥♥♥ from ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Shame that he closed his profile because his comment section had remarks from several people about his scummy behavior: teamstacking, noob stomping and ragequitting - kicking people from other team, very cool yeah?

I've played with him before, and he doesn't enjoy noob stomping, it's just a by-product of him wanting to play with the people in his community. And i've never seen him ragequit or kick the other team. And if he did they were probably being jerks or lagging out most likely.

Shame we can't find someone who isn't toxic and is a good player that's willing to fight against us. I think there is some jealousy going on because Gene Seed has a group that is full of good non toxic players, some of these others don't have that and decide to attack it instead.
