A good mod / modpack for SP (skirmish+..)?

Please suggest some good mod / modpack that works in single player, and in skirmish maybe, too bad Robz mod does not work in sp.

I would also like to know an answer to that.

A lot of the SP mods I tried had bugs or just flat out crashed when I started the game or 5 minutes into the game. If you have some suggestions for good Skirmish / SP mods that do not have any issues I am all ears.

As far as I read the Valour does work with bots if you have the Airborne DLC but I am not willing to buy that one.

But Valour(compared to the Robz Realism) works with vanilla SP missions (or with any SP mission from DLC), has several SP missions and SP submod.

Valour works in SP, Origins SP, Skirmish. UWM 40K works in MP with bots.

Its really works in SP missions, and they have some custom made missions too. Just dont forget to subscribe to addons if you gonna play Origins

Alright I just checked it. First I downloaded only Valour and it showed me 2 extra missions per faction in SP but the map previews were all checkered (white/black) and when I started the map I only got a gray screen with the UI in front. So I guess that one doesn't work.

However I then downloaded the SP missions they linked at the end of the description (Forgotten Wars or sth.) and some of these missions seem to work at first glance. Unfortunately not all of them appear to be working. Some of the maps were also checkered (e.g. Ambush). When I start the Ambush mission the map loads normally but my soldiers all have blue spider legs. Do I need DLC for that mission or why does that one not seem to work properly?

Also thanks for the replies, seems that with the Forgotten Wars + Valour I might at least enjoy a couple of missions (I hope they won't crash on me). Anyone know why Ambush doesn't work?

Try Origins DLC someday, it has full campaign for USA/GER/USSR. Not just missions for defend and attack like in MoW AS 2

Ahhh so I assume I need that one for the maps that are displayed as white/black checkered for me?

Can I still play the other maps that seem to be displayed normally for me without expecting to crash? Because I really hate it when I get into a mission only to keep crashing at the same point 20 minutes later. I have experienced that so much with mods on the workshop. I never ever crashed on any Vanilla map (even after playing for hours) so it is definately some incompatibility with some of the mods and the game.

If you are talking about custom made missions for Valour (not from Forgotten), then i dont really know what happend to them. I tried playt it 1-2 years ago and they seems fine to me. Origins DLC however, only required to play Origins missions from MoW, MoW 2 etc. You can play AS 2 missions just with Valour mod.

1-2 years ago most of the SP missions on the workshop also worked fine for me but it seems that one their updates in between now and then broke a lot of things.

For example I never had any problems with Sir Hinkels missions when I last played this years ago but when I reinstalled this game a couple of months ago some of Sir Hinkels missions do not load up for me at all, others have a weird bug where I cannot reload guns and then others just crash at a certain point 5-20 minutes into the game. If I save my game and reload I just crash again. It must be some unit that spawns or event that triggers at a certain point within the map.

Same with WW2 chronicles mod. 1-2 years ago I could play all the missions without problems but now even their descriptions says that "this mod needs to be updated". They apparently did release a new version which lets you play a couple of missions again but most of the missions are still not available. One of their updates definately broke a lot of stuff...

This actually got me quite frustrated after I tried many different mods and encountered one problem after another... Just to clarify, Vanilla works absolutely FINE. I replayed 2 entire missions last week and never crashed. Definately an issue with the mods...

Most of old mods wasnt updated a while, that might be an issue, true.

Alright thanks again for the replies, seems that I will definately give this Forgotten Fronts + Valour a try. Both mods were recently released / updated so I hope there are no big issues. Only thing that might happen to me is that I get issues because I don't have all the DLC (I assume that is the reason why some of the maps are checkered for me). Hope that doesn't cause a crash with the other missions or I will probably just uninstall this game out of frustration -_-
