How to play a multiplayer match with mods?

Hi, so me and a friend want to play a 1v1 using the galaxy at war mod, but whenever I try to join him it reads:

Resource Desynchronization detected.

Missing mods:

[LordDz]

In the options menu, go to mods and activate it.
Does the Missing mods: message say which mods you're missing?

Also make sure your friend only has the galaxy at war mod activated as both of you need the exact same mods enabled.

Also is the galaxy mod at war from the workshop or have you extracted it? If it's the latter, chances are someone didn't do it correctly if it doesn't work.

The Message doesn't say what mods are missing. We both only have that mod activated.

I'm pretty sure we both extracted it correctly too.

Have both of you enabled the mods in the settings menu?

I believe so, we can play the singleplayer stuff just fine.
