Origins VS assault squad 2

So if you purchase assault squad 2 origins BEFORE you buy assault squad 2 steam will not allow you to purchase assault squad 2.

Never in my entire career of gameing have I navigated such a mess. People have complained years ago about this issue and it was never fixed. Aside from the fact no one is entirely sure what they are buying when you buy them. If done in the wrong order you cant play with freinds as Origin and assault squad although the same thing on steam yet they are seperate but the same game in your steam library. Confused? I havn't started yet!

Origins gives you campaign missions from assault squad 1 at an extortionate price Assault squad 2 was pretty much the same - a rehash of assault squad 1 but updated (to be fair a lot) but no campaign and only multiplayer and skirmish.

Wonder why call to arms isnt doing so well ...

Problem is that it was sold as a standalone expansion on the store. It would have been more ideal to make it similar to iron fists and airborne dlc.
Requiring base game to own.

It adds missions from mow 1. Not Assault Sqaud 1.

I think you will find as1 nothing like as2.
Gameplay wise at least in multiplayer.

I agree it is a huge leap from mow and as1, love it in all modes, sp and mp. It is the way it was marketed or distributed I have the issues with. A few friends and family just exploded with extreme rage quit due to it.

So perhaps this is the information we needed all in one place to compare to, and not from a community (as good as they are) but the devs, this is a crime. (Rings Judge Dread)

Men of War assault squad 2: - Re-designed game mechanics, Skirmish and Multiplayer from from the original men of war. Also includes extra missions (skirmish) and multiplayer maps and probably its best feature the extra content providers (mods).

Men of War Assault Squad 2 Origins - Using the revamped AI etc in Men of war Assault squad 2 Origins adds the original missions and co-op but does not give you access to multiplayer maps or skirmish from men of war assault squad 2:. ALSO! Purchase Origins before you buy Men of war Assault Squad 2 and it prevents you from ever being able to buy Assault Squad 2: (multiplayer/skirmish) on the steam store, this means no skirmish or multiplayer for owners of just Origins as the game warns of desync when joining people with both titles.

The solution after buying Orgins and not Ass* Squad 2 is request a refund from steam for Origins. Then buy Ass* Squad 2, then Origins. Steam still cries at you but alows the purchase of Origins.

Once instaled look back at you wallet and decide if you feel burned. To be honest, I dont.
