Saving Error

I just got the game and everytime I try to save I get the following error. Could really use some help with this as I can't play it with this. I have no mods installed.

Same as the other poster.. so just gonna copy and paste..

Looks like the save is corrupted, I've heard when some delete AS2 completely and reinstall works while others say just verifying cache does it. Or you could try just finding that said photo location in the error and deleting it.

Better yet just try deleting your AS2 profile inn documents and restarting the game.

Well I deleted all AS2 files in my documents, and did a complete reinstall - didn't work. I tried deleting just my profile for AS2 and restarting - didn't work. I tried verifying cashe - didn't work. I tried running as a admin - didn't work. I tried deleting the 0 kb screenshot it creates evertime - didn't work.

I have the same problem. It crashed every time. Why? Even start as a admin doesn't help.

I saw in another discussion if you turn off your Anti virus this problem will stop, i did and now it does not crash when you save the game. Hope it works for everone else.

That was one of the first things I tried, didn't work either. Only fix I found was to revert back to previous patch and run as admin. It only crashes on saves about 40% of the time now, so it is at least moderately playable, just extremely frustrating.

same here, i can play and the game can save only on previous version (2014 version). i've done clean install on mw PC, download steam client installer from website and let it update then install mowas 2. uncheck the steam cloud but still can't save the game. i guess it happen after steam client update, imho.

Yeah, I gave up months ago trying to find a solution. It appears to be a common problem with no real fix. Really unfortunate since I love the game.

Run as admin,Tick all the boxes,in the compatability of game,it seemed to work for me,good luck...

I knowz or it worked for me disable anti virus i use avast and i disabled my ransomware shield for documents and i was able to save again it showed me the same error 2 mang got sad 4 dayz :P but it fix try it if u want

I'm pretty sure that's problem with save folder. It's probably damaged

Bump and Necro. I have same issue as this, in the Introduction mission on Tarawa it happens as soon as you get control of your soldiers, but the error referenced a tiny .png file that looks like a black square a few pixels big.

I played the first US mission and things went smooth until it autosaved, then I got the error described here. No answer. Freshly formatted computer, it worked fine on this PC until I swapped my 960GTX for a 1060 GTX and now I have this issue. My other PC with the 960GTX plays the game 100% just fine.

Downgrading to prior patch works but it's not a real fix since multiplayer will not work with friends, so we can nail it down that something they changed in the final patch is causing all of this.

I think multiplayer doesnt crash. Its save error and multiplayer doesent save in Skrimish mode
