how do you complete a game on hard diffilculty and heroic difficulty ?
i can complete the game on easy and normal diffilculty but on hard it seems impossible for example the german second mission where you have to capture the bridge i cant capture and keep a capture point long enought to call in a stug and the enemy are spamming infantry and shermans as soon as the game starts

Caen and any of those larger skirmishes with flags you need to play with a lot more patience, and if you are playing single player you can slow the game down using backspace so that you can possibly ensure all your men are taking proper cover or engaging incoming tank properly. On hard or heroic its more suited for coop, but it can be beat in single player as well, it may just take a tad longer. Once you capture first 3 flags you should not push any further but instead concentrate on building up your forces and hold the flags, save money and buy the tiger but keep the tiger in the rear to take out most armor thats coming in, but at same time take opporunity when possible to allow some tanks come close so you maybe able to fix them after killing enemy crew. Once you build up your forces u can slowly attempt to capture further out but make sure you have a line of at guns, mortars and infantry to cover your current flags and avoid risking tiger on the frontline. Mortar will help you a lot in capturing early points.

There is number of strategies for those skirmishes, saving the game in single player and slowing speed down in large armor battle situations is important. If you can find few good players for coop then thats where it becomes much easier.

Like satane said, those larger battle are more suited for coop. It's a bit hard to find a good team though.

To Add to DJSantane's tactics, which is pretty much what I use, Get lots of RPG guys, give them 2 sand bags and send them forward, build 2 sand bags in a V formation (done manually, the tip of the v faces the enemy, this gives you about 270 degrees of protection) then lye the RPG guy down in them, enemy infantry are taken out long before they get close to the sand bags, when enemy armour comes, it will stop and shoot at anyone it sees, so duck your men down (the ones at the back), so the tanks roll forward past your V sand bags, at which point your guys have a clear shot of its rear. Its also close enogh for you to send someone to repair it. Do that for a few hours till you have about 30 tanks, at which point you can mostly just roll forward slowly smashing the enemy.

I have completet some of the maps on heroic difficulty, everytime it was pretty insane. Actual some maps are just so damn tough I never tried on heroic difficulty.. On one of the maps I level an entire city and fight for like 6-8 houres to just setup an defensive line strong enough, and there where like 30+ smoking tanks on the main road constant despawning.
Actual it was really "fun" and interesting and cool fight.
I repair the best of them and used them against the enemy. :)
After that it took like 1-2 houres to take the rest of the map.
Sometimes I also use the few airborn troops i had to take out special art that enemy had or trying to take flags to hinder the enemy from building tanks.
Sometimes i use the airborn just as scouts and hide them somewhere so i can see enemy possitions and order airstrikes and so on.

Well my trick to win is to first of all "rush" and get 2 flags that give me different kind of more advanced stuff such as good AT guns or tanks.
Next I setup MG defense in ways that they cannot be killed by example tanks from far away.
Typical AT guns can shoot far, and if you set them up with some angle and can shoot tanks in the side or at least damge their tracks then you can more easy kill them. And if you make 2-3 AT guns work together from different directions then any tank die very fast :)
same goes with my tanks, i try to place them in cover at an angle somewhere + some kind of defence against infantry trying to sneak up on my tank and throw a ATgrenade at it.
I know tanks are big and powerfull, but also expensive.. ALLOT of infantry are actual pretty good and powerfull.
in general setup defence with someone in cover at the flag, and then someone a little behind as a kind of second line defence that are ready to move up and recapture the flag. And keep a few AT crew arround to run inbetween buildings and be ready to shoot tanks that come to close. Also when it come to infantry then mortars are good, AND snipers can really ruin the day.. Just imagine how annoying it is if your MG crew get taken out all the time, or AT soldiers. OR you are unable to move your AT guns since they get taken out by an enemy sniper somewhere.
Also use your supply trucks allot... Place them behind a building in distance to example mortar so they have plenty of ammo.. Once your truck run dry, drive back to your HQ flag or park them somewhere safe and they slowly refill.

Els my trick was to setup a strong "frontline/defence" that i regular resupply. And I now and then send repair crew forwards to steal the enemys tanks and AT weapons instead of building them my self.
While doing this I also build up a reserve army further back and when i have allot I make a push forward and capture an area and dig in, and move my defence line forward....

BUT if you do this, it can be a good idea to send forward a fast camikaze vehicle to see from where it get shot so you can example arty that possition before you big attach.... OR send in sniper to kill the AT guns before attack or just have them there in "stealth mode" observing. Sometimes sending allot of infantry on the flanks can also take out stuff before your main attack.. Also art on trees and you can use them for cover as you progress.. ;-)

Good points above.

I play on hard in single player. You definitely have to be a lot more patient. The AT squad, with two troops, is usually very cheap so I get at least 2 teams for each general avenue of travel for enemy tanks. Left, center, and right, for a total of 6 teams. Hide them up close to the front on 'do not fire'. They only have one job and that is to wait until a tank comes into range. The activate them and either have 2-3 teams target one tank or direct control an AT rocket troop. Start repairing tanks as soon as is possible, cover with smoke and then run them back out of harms way. Once you capture 4-5 you have a tank force and can begin pushing up.

Again, patience is what is needed. I find that even if I have 5 or 6 AT guns lined up along the entire front and 3 or 4 are shooting at one tank you can get all of them bouncing before getting a hit. If it's a Tiger it can wipe out an entire side of AT guns real quick. Thus the added benefit of having the AT rocket troops to protect and relieve your AT guns. Add in some troops with AT grenades and all the better.

But there will be times when you'll see three tanks coming down one side and they do break through your front line. If you don't have AT troops protecting the rear area of your territory even one enemy tank can lay waste to nearly everything you have back there.
