Its actually much more pathological than that. its not so much that they are incapable of making normal looking characters, but rather they deliberately make them ugly and dysgenic as a form of sacrifice and symbol of adherence to their religious scripture

Sad truth, 10 years ago western devs were respected, Now hardly any of them are. Thats why im glad to see some indie western devs making it big because the tide needs to change in order for them to wake up from the left woke mess. its as if they have a well of money to burn and bring a new bucket of millions up each time, only for it to burn and repeat

when you understand where a lot of the investment comes for games of this ilk, it begins to make a lot more sense. There are groups with unimaginable wealth that attempt to skew the social and cultural fabric to their preferred axioms, and thus see these ventures as less of an opportunity for generation of wealth, but rather see it as marketing spend. The appeal, of course, of these tactics on a broad level is to elevate race consciousness and class warfare (on both sides) as to maintain a perpetual voting majority in democratic societies. I understand that this is a little high brow and out of many folks depths to discuss, but once you understand why media like this is created, the puzzle pieces tend to fall into place.

Before playing I thought Dew the blue fat guy was the ugliest. After playing him a lot I get why he looks like this. He’s supposed to look like a turtle because that’s what he does. He even has a shield on his back.
