Basically the excuse is it's not F2P, and "generic". Wokeism is completely "not the problem". Which ok, but don't forget Rage 2 had good gameplay, and the story was complete obnoxious trash. Not a Concord level failure, but it wasn't a success either.

Now as a side issue with Act Man himself, he has a long history of bad takes, only to the point of what he can get away with. Starting with Starfield, and his attacks on other creators taking their clips out of context. I don't think he's ever apologized, because it was something he could get away with. Starfield good, Concord bad.

Black Myth Wukong. Act Man MADE AN IGN TALKING POINT VIDEO, and pulled it last second because he couldn't get away with lying about it. He admits this in his second video. It's labeled: "The REAL Problem With Black Myth: Wukong" and he also softpedals around the controversy. There never is a problem with wokeism, it's always kid gloves, and all criticism is "Harassment". That said, he does address the issue, but it's such a downplayed take that it's ridiculous, not to mention hypocritical when he says the exact opposite for the vast majority of his takes.

Lastly, Act Man is pulling a Mr. Beast cleanup of his comment section. He will censor anyone who calls out his hypocrisy. There is no negative comments or criticism of his nonsense allowed on his channel. Not if your comment attracts his attention. Which I believe started happening after his Starfield take and criticism of other creators by clipping them out of context. So he started censoring everything because he couldn't control the narrative otherwise.

Overall, IDC what the "official" excuse is for Concord. Sony has a history starting with Helldivers 2, which no doubt caused lasting effects over the PSN account requirement. It is a generic game for $40 in a F2P environment. This didn't happen in a vacuum. So what? People don't like woke games regardless. Can we not get games that are just games? Does everyone have to go out of business except the Chinese? Have you heard about Phantom Blade Zero? Western developers are going to all go bust at this rate. Nobody wants Xbox Game Pass indie trash. You can subsidize it for a while, but long term? No. You can't sustain a business model that doesn't sell enough to cover costs. Especially if there's competition that you can't profit from, such as Chinese developers. China is just going to take over. For real, TenCent will buy out EA / Blizzard / Ubisoft / etc. The nonsense WILL stop, the question is on who's terms, and what cost. Also, western developers refuse to use AI, and the Chinese are super enthusiastic about it. There will not be a gradual takeover, it will be hostile and swift, because you refuse to adapt. People have already taken Concord characters and "fixed" them with AI. Like seriously, can you not see the instant firing of EVERYONE developing games for AI replacement, because you can't make good games? Stop it, before it's too late. That said, what people need to be discussing isn't bait threads and nonsense. It's the fact that Chinese developers are completely set to take over the entire industry very soon, and wokeism is accelerating it.

AI is here NOW. Anime localizers are already being fired for AI. Programmers are scared witless of further advancement. Why are none of these people CONCERNED about their future job prospects?

Do you honestly think losing 200 million dollars is sustainable for multiple games? The current mentality is that it is, because the developers got their paycheck, and the Publisher subsidizes the loss. Sony is still around.

This is NOT NEW, the mentality STARTED with Duke Nukem Forever, and progressed into Star Citizen. This is an ACTUAL WORKING BUSINESS MODEL OF FAILURE, and there are dozens of games that attempt it, many with developer comments extremely dismissive of their community. They found a way to grift the industry, simply by having external funding. Star Citizen STILL hasn't gone under, while others are following the old method of DNF that fails after years of doing nothing. Anthem. What do they care? They got their check.

Japan used to be "safe" to scam. This however is clearly changing with localizers being replaced by AI, and Assassin's Creed being discovered for using fake history from Thomas Lockley, which has created immense backlash among the Japanese. Sony will not tolerate this long term.

The problem isn't even the grifters, it's the publishers who own them. This is NOT sustainable for them. There is a limit. TenCent is buying multiple companies, having ownership in more than most people realize. China is heavily investing in AI, with a strong work ethic, and zero adherence to woke ideology.

WHAT ARE THEY THINKING? They're going to all lose money, get bought out by TenCent, then be replaced by AI. Is adherence to the cult religion more important than having a JOB? This is literally a national security threat.

Microsoft recently fired their DEI teams. It's happening, right now. Linux is even worse, but Gnome FIRED their DEI literal "Shaman" CEO. The current thought is, "oh, we'll just internalize the DEI", no. This is absolutely under no circumstance sustainable when China can just own everything, and replace you with AI.

The current grift allows developers to "pass the buck" onto publishers. It's not an infinite money hack. Chase bank "glitch" infinite money hack isn't real. There are CONSEQUENCES.

The problem with the current system is that for decades there has been no pushback against white collar crime, Logan Paul NFTs, Mr. Beast illegal lotteries, etc, and the scammers think they're untouchable Indian call center employees. Which not really. It just takes time for the system to recognize a failure point, and IT IS starting to recognize it. They will have to address it or go under.

Oh absolutely. That said, I do give several of these guys a pass like Angry Joe. Why? Because he's CLEAR about where he stands. He clearly has a stance, which I can safely ignore and acknowledge his other points, which he does still have good points. While Bellular is absolutely despicable for hiding his bias, and having actual business ties with DEI. The other fence sitters aren't nearly as bad. I don't even know why muta is on there, he's just a content brain who's excessively paranoid, and I enjoy his privacy content. Maybe he had a bad take on some drama, but that's just because he's not a good journalist. Neither is Keenstar, he's had insane takes.
