How do we stop toxicity in gaming culture?
Having progressive elements in a game shouldn't put a huge target on its back for widespread ridicule and mockery. This is a cultural problem that runs deep among gamers. What can or should we do to correct course?

a game made for a minority, isnt a game for the majority. pandering and virtue signaling isnt going to appeal to everyone.

aside from the obvious demographic concord tried to cater to, it was just an objectively bad game, a 40$ hero shooter, with poor design, in a saturated F2P genre is doomed to fail.

the game being "woke" isnt to blame. it wasnt marketed, it wasnt talked about. i only heard about it the day it released.

8 years and est. 100million, and they couldnt be bothered to market the game.

sony is fully responsible for the utter collapse of this game. Not the "toxic anti-woke" mob.

if a game is bad, noone will buy it. stop trying to push agendas and create a divide.

ya Goober.....
post wasn't unintentionally racist, obvious bait
The game failed because it was a boring Overwatch clone that was released 8 years too late. It wasn't boycotted because of woke elements in the game. Look at Baldurs Gate 3 as an example. It's a really great game but also contains woke elements in it. Same with Cyberpunk 2077 after they managed to make the game good with the post launch updates that was almost on par with No Mans Sky.

Next game thats going to fail big time is AC: Shadows. Not because it's woke but because it's going to be another game in the gameplay loop that AC: Origins started and Ubisoft is going to be forced to change the gameplay in the AC game that follows Shadows like how they did before.

Also, all other AC games had a main character that fit the setting it took place in.

AC 1: You played as an arab in a arabic envoirment.
AC 2: Italian in Italy.
AC 3: English/Native American in the colonial US.
AC 4: Welsh? Something in the golden era of pirates. African in the DLCs.
AC Unity: French in France.
AC Syndicate: Brits in Britain.
AC Origins: African/Egyptian in Egypt
AC Odyssey: Greek in Greece.
AC Valhalla: Norse in Scandinavia/England during the Danelaw period.
AC Shadows: Male character: African in Japan. Female: Japanese in Japan.

No one, that I remember, expressed hate towards the previous people of colour main characters in the AC stories because it made sense to play those characters in those games due to the setting they took place in. In Shadows you'd basically be playing as a pink unicorn in a herd of horses when you play the male character.
Concord currently has ABSOLUTELY no hateful or bigoted chatting in-game right now

There are thousands of bigots playing games like COD and Battlefield right this second but Concord doesn't have any.
DEI and progressive ideals absolutely disgust me so anything that promotes those thing I'll mock them and piss on their grave.

Not easily, I'm afraid.

The game has the same right to exist, as the comments ridiculing it.
It is no less wrong to censor this board, than to censor the game's developers.
