"Games" might temporary go in a sad state, until devs finally fully realize their "ideas" don't work. After that we will have exclusively quality games again.
It's weird cus i normally get bored quickly of modern games but i got sucked into dragon age origins and played it for hours.
older games actually wanted to entertain, simple as, ofc earning a living was just as important but you didnt have entire studios selling their souls and pushing some political agenda, or trying to squeeze even one more cent out of you after you bought the game
plus they actually had to be released in a finished state and all that jam
dont want to sound like a boomer but it was straight up simpler times
AAA gaming is trash
Don't worry, you have a backlog of 40+ years, enjoy some of the old games, enjoy new indies, enjoy good new AAA games like Elden Ring, just ignore the bad stuff (e.g. Concord, Suicide Squad, Saints Row 2022 and many more) and you will still be very happy and busy.

So wake up Mr. Koujiro, wake up and smell the ashes
