I don't see the issue with adding pronouns

There's not an issue to know the characters gender identity. It makes the characters more relatable and interesting. The characters are designed really well also and all look noticeably different and not copy/paste cookie cutter types. The gunplay is also solid. 8.7/10 beta for me.

Do you the fictional character will get offended and cry if someone doesn't use it's preferred pronouns?

If you feel related to a fictional character because it's pronouns are displayed on the screen in an incredibly lazy way, well then let's just say your family history likely has a lot of "related" going on too.

People don't care who you are in a shooter game, they care what team you are on and your role, that's the end of that story. 99% of people in the world have pronouns that don't need to be told to people. They are evident by their appearance. Catering all forms of entertainment to the 1% who have some kind of dissonance between their appearance and the pronouns they prefer to be referred to as is beyond ridiculous.

Its not just the pronoun thing being the headline feature of this 40 dollar free to play game... you honestly think the characters look like blimps for no reason? Everything in the marketing is about how great it is they made a trashcan with pronouns and ugly as sin characters.

Look at the marketing for the game, what they've been crowing from the rooftops, and tell me honestly the focus was on making the game component, and not the pandering crap. The message comes first, if they have time, they'll try and work out the bugs in the unimportant "game" part (That thing where you get to shoot for a tiny bit between giant boring cutscenes)
