Of course someone GAY wants to play a BLACK VIDEO GAME!!! You can't hide what you LIKE!!!
Please tell me who does Black Myth Wukong belong to?
How many days did it take to sell 10 million copies?
Microsoft and Sony may have the monopoly of woke games, but nobody wants to play woke games.
The comic industry went woke and people moved to manga instead of eating that garbage.
Here's the problem, tyranical dictatorships where everyone is forced to believe the same thing only work in places where people have no other choice.
In a free market we have thousands of choices.
Korea made Stellar Blade, which sold a lot, China made Black Myth Wukong which sold a lot, and Japan has been making games that sell a lot for the past 4 decades.
People can choose west garbage or Asian quality.
I've been buying Japanese games for more than a decade, western games are reduced to a handfull of AAA games and Indies.
And, as long as I still have a choice, I'll keep spending my money on quality products, wether they're asian or not.
DEAL WITH IT.
No, you got it all wrong. The comic industry went woke AFTER it went to ♥♥♥♥ with dumbasses behind the wheel for over a decade out of desperation. People moved to manga LONG before "wokeness" was even in people's vocabulary, and why? Well, I can basically pinpoint a variety of reasons, but here's one: the average manga has 180 pages of content and sells from 5-15 USD; an average comic has an average of 32 pages, and usually 4-12 pages of ads and letters to editors and credits, so even if you buy a "bad" manga, it still has a better value proposition compared to a "good" comic per page.
All too often, "wokeness" is just flinging ♥♥♥♥ at the wall to see if it sticks because the traditional audience is burnt out. The NBA pandering to China is a perfect example of this: I know sports fans like to boast that "you gotta stick with the team, bro" is the best way to handle it, but there's only so many years of failure (just look at the Maple Leafs for a perfect example of this) people will take before they say screw this and bounce, but the Chinese are seen as not having been so thoroughly turned off by the experience, and so the NBA went all in on them.
ITV Digital in the UK collapsed because of this sorta thing, too. People expect the best of the best, they don't want to settle for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
"Wokeness" is just the latest itineration of "please settle," and has followed in the wake of previous attempts like "reality TV is the future" and "post-grunge".
Only way Sony is shutting down servers for one of their own games is if Playstation itself is shutting down, and we know that ain't happening.
