Indeed. Concord is a blatant and bland Overwatch clone that came out five years too late. Nobody asked for it, and nobody wants it.

But the bitter little babies latched onto Concord as their latest "Go Woke, Go Broke!" trophy, while ignoring the fact that the "woke" Horizon: Zero Dawn sold 25 million copies, the "woke" Last of Us 2 sold 10 million copies, Inside Out 2 is the highest grossing film of this year, Barbie was the highest grossing film of last year, and on and on. They champion their 'wins' and pretend their losses don't exist. And they've given Concord more press coverage than it ever would have had on its own.

Yes, there are exceptions, I can accept that, AND the woke virus is more tolerated in movies, cause wokies DO watch movies, but in the gaming market, I can name you 10 woke games that failed for every woke game that succeeded that you'd name... Maybe a few woke games will succeed in the future, it's not 100% dead yet, but it is dying... Just a bit slowly.

My dude. I am a straight white cishet dudebro, like (probably) all of you. And the character I spent the most time playing in Overwatch was a young, slightly overweight Chinese woman. I even know her pronouns. Yet somehow, miraculously, I've never felt the need to throw a temper tantrum about it, or announce to the world that gaming is dying, or harass game developers over it, or embarrass myself in the many MANY ways today's /r/KotakuInAction posters and Quartering fans have done today.

It's almost as if you're all buying into manufactured culture war rage bait, and deluding yourselves into somehow thinking you're freedom fighters, which is literally the alt-right playbook and has been for years.

I genuinely could not care less about Concord. The only reason I came to the forum in the first place is I saw it had a $39.99 price tag on the storefront and thought "What in God's name are they thinking charging for this?" I wanted to see the dumpster fire. Then when I saw the forum was overrun with people who use terms like "woke mind virus" unironically, I decided to stick around and poke the bear. It's been entertaining.
