Curious and out of the loop. Question:
What's the deal with this game? I have not been on social media for a while and it just looks like a Team Fortress / Overwatch type of game. Isn't that good? Maybe the market is a little rough with new games of this genre :-/

Mecha Break, Marvel Rivals, and Deadlock are all games that fit in the genre and have all been playable in the last 2 months around the same time as Concord. All but Concord hit 5-digit numbers, and they all required limited keys or an invitation to play the game. This game hit just over 2k players in the OPEN beta (no keys or invites required like the others), and the game is estimated to have sold only a few thousand and can't hit 1k players on Steam. You could say the market is oversaturated, but I think people are just looking for the good games in the genre. There are many different reasons people won't buy this game, but having a price on this was certainly a huge mistake.

The movement is slow, the characters are ugly, the weapons feel like you're firing nerf guns and do roughly the same damage, it costs money, and they paid more attention to diversity than character likeability.

It's a game that started development around when Overwatch 1 released in order to capitalize on the craze.

The reason why people are clowning on it is because it's obviously founded in part or fully by Environmental Social Governance programs, meaning it's a game designed to make money by political investors' money rather than competing fairly in the market.

The result is Overwatch, only the characters aren't visually pleasing enough to make toys or porn out of them and an audience of people more preoccupied with the politics behind the game's development rather than its' merits.

It's actually competent from everything I've seen/heard (Needs some balancing but that can be fixed), honestly I like team-based shooters and would've given it a shot if it wasn't clearly made for an audience that I'm not part of.

Why BUY Overwatch/Team Fortress 2, when Overwatch/Team Fortress 2 is already free to play?

The movement is slow, the abilities are unimaginative, the weapons feel like nerf guns and do about the same amount of damage, the levels are sparse, and there's no one to play with because there are better games.
Add to that the price tag when there is no single-player campaign.
