i managed to pass it once just now by double jumping from the furthest point you can double jump from, right on the platform. what i noticed when the glitch ocurs is that the character you are gets a slight "twitch" the moment the elevator drops, like hes about to go free fall but he dosent. When i double jumped that didnt happen. i think its because the game reads that you already falling, so there is no "twitch" i might have been realy lucky too, but that worked for me. alternatively just jump very high on to said plattform to make the game read you as "falling" but i have yet to try that. i hope it helps :P
that being said, i bum rushed the elevator sprinting past enemies then did the double jump, i rushed because i was fed up fighting them, and crashing 6 times.
I read somewhere it has to do with the probes in the end section being destroyed. but that didnt work for me.
i crashed so many times on that level i was honestly suprised when it started loading.
Tbh i havent tried the level after i managed to trigger the loading and beat it.
so i might just have been realy lucky. i main qui gon, but im not shure it matters cause all the crashes happend with him aswell. Does it crash in co-op i wonder? :P
Thanks, I will test the double jump method. Hopefully it's more consistent :D
Edit: Did 3 tries and they all crashed lmao
Alright, so the moment I saw your reply I just had to retry it myself. Unfortunately It wasn't consistent to me as well. Tried 4 times while testing different methods so I will share what I can:
1st run - Double Jumped without killing the droids at the center =CRASH
2nd run -Walked from below as the video suggested with walk speed set to 0, killing all the droids as well= CRASH
3rd run - Threw myself off the cliff to "reload" the elevator. Touched it, jumped off before the descent then before hitting the ground, you guessed it - CRASH
4th run - Run to the far right top corner of the elevator, descent - CRASH
Will try more later tonight, I know most of these things mentioned are probably not correlated with the actual crash but at this point I'm just desperate. Apologies for the misguided info on the previous post.
I'm pretty sure I experienced this bug once or twice out of many playthroughs of the original. But the rate people are reporting it, it seems worse in this version.
if we ever get one :( has anyone tried double jumping realy high and land on the lower left? i think i will try that the next time i get on.
The good - I FINALLY made it to the next section without crashing!
The bad - I only had these results from certain characters...
The method I used was going onto the elevator from the bottom like others suggested, but this time I nudged my way onto it inch by inch. I also let the camera go from the locked elevator view, back to where the floating droids are then go back to the elevator, not sure if this mattered but I was determined to try ANYTHING. I also just ran through the entire level for every character, so I don't know if completing the level would change anything.
The characters that were able to continue were Obi-wan, Qui-gonn, Mace Windu and Adi Gallia.
The characters that were getting crashes were Plo Koon, Kai-adi Mundi and Darth Maul. I didn't try every character so I'm not sure if Padme or others are getting past or not.
I don't know if it has something to do with the characters speed and/or their falling speed, but I'm scratching my head that the heavier and slower characters are getting crashes compared to the faster more agile ones.
Hope this info helps, also I didn't realize until testing but every level is automatically unlocked, so I could've technically continued a while ago lol. Guess I was so used to the original and didn't even check.
