Problem with Flotsam station
At Flotsam, the Ferris Tanker sells something for 22 Cryo called "Scrap Components".

Now, I have Engine Components, and Raw Scrap in my inventory. I hate so much when games do this- before I spend my VERY hard earned Cryo, I need to know what I'm getting!! Am I buying Engine Components, Raw Scrap, or some new type of commodity called "Scrap Components"? :10real:

Ok at the Integrator Offices in Flotsam they sell "Engine Components" so maybe I can assume the "Scrap Components" actually means "Raw Scrap"?

scrap compnents are a third type of scrap, used to repair broken dice while introducing glitches. If you do not feel the need to build a stockpile of them for safety measures, you should not have to buy them manually to get through everything

Basically there are several types of scrap.
Superlight spoilers.
Scrap components are the cheap analogue of rare parts for self repair.
Raw scrap is the thing you can salvage during some actions and sell for cheap or refine. Safe to sell and refine.
Refined scrap is the more expensive scrap you get after processing. Safe to sell.
Engine Components are used for ship upgrade and one quest. Can be bought and made for free at one station. You'll need about 11 of them for the game - safe to sell the rest.
There are also Solheim Cyphers you can sometimes get. You'll need about 25 for quests and such and the rest can be sold.

several locations buy scrap or specific items explore lil more. If you struggle with money trying spending 3 cycles doing jobs before moving to the next location. Also you rarely need to grind for cyro if you stay on top of contracts.
