skill description and leveling guides are missing
Compared to CS1 both things sucks. No way you can hover over skill and see what leveling options do. Plus, tips push you to level but it's not explained that skills are more costly than 1 point. Since CS2 is for certain a different game from CS1, such description would be helpful.

Each one of the tree upgrades have number next to them. 4 for skills and 2 for push upgrades. Pretty self explanatory.
What I would add would be a more clear indication that even if you buy them both you can only have one node of a push tree level active at a time.
Honestly - I think it would be better to have them unlock in pairs ready to switch at any time. Just to avoid confusion.

This could be fixed by having an "or" inbetween the left and right arrows in the middle of the pairs.

Or the everclassical i icon in the corner, which gives you a short textual description when you hover over it.

i had the same confusion, because in 1 the skills gave you passives. this one is a bit of a downgrade though, as the skills only improve dice bonuses. so no tooltips necessary.

If you played CS1, you'd expect special effect(s) from skill after investment of points into it. Plus, unless playing for a while and looking at icons in skill check interface, you can't say what is what.

@kia256 it's mentioned in help pop-up that you can have only one push up skill per level active.
