@JumpOvertheAge is your offer for fixing save files still valid?

You can send to the email previously given

I'm actually having a similar issue, i'm on the Game Pass version of Citizen Sleeper 2 and very late in the game found i could jump from Greenbelt to Wellspring (through a gap in the blocks) and now can't seem to get out again!

Tried finding my save and got the folders with long ID numbers as is expected (C:\Users\XXXXX\AppData\Local\Packages\SurpriseAttackPtyLtd.CitizenSleeper2StarwardVector_8k24hnfn3vvj0\SystemAppData\wgs\00090000017D2432_00000000000000000000000063XXXXXXXX) with game pass, not the save.dat files as i'd hoped to restore or email over.

Anyone know if you can do something with the Game Pass save files to convert them? Or know how to get out of this temporary soft lock??

I'm loving the game and around 200 cycles in so would hate to restart when i'm (i think) so close to the end!

Small bug, or at least I don't think it's intentional. Whenever I got a positive outcome whilst working as a Junior Shipfitter at Surya's Yard in the Scatteryards, it displayed + SURYA'S TEAM and + 12 CRYO, but the clock is names SURYA'S EYE. The clock still progressed as intended, just that the text was different, which might be intentional after all. If it wasn't intentional I assume one of the two text fields should be changed to match the other.

- Platform
Steam on windows 10

- Build version (found on the main menu)
Ver 1.1.29

- Reproduction Steps
Get a positive outcome from the action JUNIOR SHIPFITTER found in Surya's Yard in the Scatteryards.
In the two result boxes which appear above the action one of them will indicate progress towards a clock, and the clockname will be + SURYA'S TEAM but the clock name is SURYA'S EYE.

- Expected behavior (what should have happened!)
I would guess the intended text would be

- Any documentation
Since steam thankfully doesn't allow images on boards, and I don't think it is wise to open links I won't post any image links. If you would want a screenshot you can message me on steam and I can send it some other way.

Thank you for working so hard on such a beautiful and inspiring game, and remember to drink enough water.
Platform: Steam, Windows 10 Pro Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045
Release Version: 1.1.29

Hey, got a new bug! Searched to see if it had been mentioned and didn't find anything.
The Minor Drive Help Helion Dispatches is stuck uncompleted at the objective Get the Array from Holm's Rock.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3425281371

I only noticed after delivering the Array. I will describe the steps I took below.
  1. Gave the station the 2 required components
  2. Traveled to Greenbelt
  3. Purchased fuel, filled all at once
  4. Traveled directly to Holm's Rock, skipping Helion Gate
  5. Obtained the Array
  6. Purchased fuel, filled all at once
  7. Traveled directly to Greenbelt, skipping Helion Gate
  8. Purchased fuel, filled all at once
  9. Traveled to The Hollow
  10. Gave the station the Array
  11. Traversed dialogue tree
  12. Dialogue ended, result described above

Other small actions were taken at stops, but I don't remember them all. Simple jobs and trade for extra creds.

Further information:
  • When the Minor Drive is selected to be tracked, game fails to do so, untracking any actively tracked Drive
  • The objective marker shown on the map continued to work throughout the quest line. It does not show on the map at any location
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3425287082

Evolution:
In the processes of getting screenshots and checking location names for this bug report, the Drive marked itself complete, awarding +1 skill point. Not sure what did it, but something I did that may not be obvious is change to the completed Drive tab. Upon doing so, the selected Drive was the one specified above. No achievement, not sure if there is one, but all other transactions seem to have resolved as expected.

Update:
I've had this bug happen a few times, now - where the quest isn't marked as complete - and switching to the completed quest tab seems to fix it pretty reliably!

Game pass encrypts saves and links them to your profile so unfortunately I don’t believe you can send me those saves and I would be able to access them.

The only way you could get out of this situation is by attempting to cause another bug by clicking rapidly between locations on the map. As Game Pass PC has yet to be patched for map exploits (bug will be in the next 48hrs) you may still be able to escape. This may not be possible.

Otherwise there is unfortunately nothing I can do—this is the risk you run by circumnavigating the games intentional blockage of that location.

Not to worry, I did exactly that and wiggled my mouse like my life depended on it and managed to zip away to safety. Thank you!!!

Learnt my lesson ;)

- Platform: Windows
- Build version: 1.2.9
- What happened: After defeating Laine, Darkside is not visible on Navigation map
- Screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/TWZ2xjp
- Platform: Steam/Windows 11 Home

- Build version: 1.1.29

- Reproduction Steps: Unknown if reproducible due to time necessary to try and reproduce

- Bug: Game froze and save file missing.
When at Olivera, right after recruiting Flint and getting the achievement for recruiting them the game completely froze. Upon terminating the process and rebooting the game, the save file was completely missing with the only option to start a new game.

- Expected behavior: The game progress to a safe state preventing total loss of save file even if some progress was lost to crash.

- Documentation: N/A

A backup save might load as it seems your primary save has become corrupted. you can find saves at C:\Users\[YOUR USERNAME]\AppData\LocalLow\Jump Over the Age\Citizen Sleeper 2

Rename “save_1.dat” to “old_save_1.dat” and then rename one of the backups to “save_1.dat”. Do the same with the “saveinfo” backups.

If it doesn’t go back far enough try renaming another one of the backups. Don’t delete any files, just rename them—the game will use whichever file is called “save_1.dat” and “saveinfo.dat”

You may want to disable Steam cloud saves for the game before you do this so it doesn’t overwrite the files back to the old ones when you launch the game.

Platform - Steam, PC / Windows
Build version - 1.1.29
Reproduction Steps - Went on contract with stowaway drive in-progress
What happened -

During my contract (the one where you and Femi go find Nia on her contract), the cycle clock on the Stowaway completed/filled up but nothing happened. Might also be worth mentioning that the cycle clock had 1 cycle left before I left the contract, and then when I arrived back to Flotsam it was full. However, the cycle clock is still full, with the Stowaway seeming to have starved, but it all seems stuck. The drive is still accessible from the drive menu and still says I can bait the stowaway OR let it starve. Toggling the drive to be active does nothing.

Another bug that happened during the mission (small but worth mentioning, could be related), is that on one of the dice actions, my crewmate Yun-ji got a negative outcome and filled up his stress completely, making him unable to do actions anymore - however, after that, the icons and all the HUD relating to the mission's actions were gone. I couldn't click on the locations or the rig and do anything. The only thing I could do was "right-click" to go back to the rig, however none of its icons appeared, and clicking where they should've been didn't do anything. The only thing I could seemingly do was end cycle, since that was the only part of the HUD that appeared. I was stressed since I didn't know what was happening, and thought the game was soft-locked unless I ended the cycle or left the map. After a few moments of switching back and forth between the rig and the map, the icons re-appeared, and I was able to keep playing.

Expected behavior (what should have happened!)

I'm unsure if this is intentional, but I'm assuming that the Stowaway starving should've triggered a cutscene or event or something. With the way it is, I can't do anything and nothing seems to happen, and the Stowaway drive remains on my list of drives.

I already had the game updated when it happened - but when I played the game again after I closed it, the stowaway cutscene played! Thanks!

This seems to have worked for them, but I updated to 1.1.23 and I'm still experiencing the exact same issue as them – relieved I'm not the only one who's experienced it though. Thanks for looking into it!

Just tried running on 1.1.26, still can't get past the start screen :(

Bumping this again, feeling kinda really bummed since it's now approaching two weeks since launch and since I was last able to access the game. I've updated to MacOS Sequia 15.3. in the meantime and I'm running 1.2.9. and still can't get past the start screen. I've tried uninstalling, deleting the files, reinstalling, staying up to date with the versions etc, if there's anything else I could try I would love to try pretty much anything at this point. I was really looking forward to the game for years and running into a brick wall like this kinda really sucks. I don't want a refund or anything, I just wanna play the game :/

Running on Windows and had a working save yesterday morning 2/12 - no issues. Fired it up this morning and my save was missing. I did lose power suddenly yesterday, but pretty sure I had logged out of everything by that time.

Followed the steps mentioned above to rename save files at this location:

C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\LocalLow\Jump Over the Age\Citizen Sleeper 2

save_1.dat > OLD_save_1.dat
save_1.back.dat > save_1.dat

saveinfo.dat > OLD_saveinfo.dat
saveinfo.backup.dat > saveinfo.dat

Also disabled cloud sync in steam.

Right back where I left off. Glad to resume because I was feeling discouraged about replaying 6 hours when everything in this fantastic game has felt so unique and bespoke. I wanted to make sure I could continue what feels like the story for me.

Sorry for this, I haven’t been able to reproduce this bug and it seems to be based on some aspect of the local computer configuration so its really hard to figure out the cause.

Are you using a touchpad for input? Might be worth trying an external mouse or a controller if you have one or can borrow one.

When talking to Malik for the first time, I think there's a word missing when the narrator says "You both quiet for a moment" . If this is intentional, just ignore me mentioning it.
