They don't appear to be in my UI or cargo inventory anywhere.
(As an aside I wish there was a text log we could re-read after events happen; did I miss something during that whole exchange when buying them? I thought we managed to escape the trap and take them with us, maybe I misread..)
I like the concept of the contracts being mini quest things with their own tasks and cycles, though I don't think it was explained very well going in that you'd need a bunch of supplies; good to know for the full release I suppose.
By the time I finished the first contract for the pure cash my stress bar was halfway filled and most of my dice were damaged and near-breakpoint.
I think I only had about 6 cycles left also, so I figured it would have been easier to raise the last ~100 credits I needed rather than go out on an entire extra expedition (especially when I had zero fuel or supplies at that point also).
You pull in nearly 20 credits from that scrap job so it was pretty quick.
I don't think I quite understand some of the new mechanics, (like 'Pushing' dice? - I wasn't aware that I would need supplies on these missions either so my stats suffered quite a bit when I was forced to end each cycle) But yeah that first contract kind of destroyed me and my stats.
Good things to know for the full game I guess.
