SNK VS. CAPCOM SVC CHAOS

SNK VS. CAPCOM SVC CHAOS

İstatistiklere Bak:
Arcade mode has a set amount of continues?
I don't know if it's a setting or what, but it feels like this game only gives you 3 continues in arcade mode.

Is this an intended thing or a setting in the game? And is anyone have this same issue?

It’s an intended thing. It is a thing of the AES version of this game, use the difficulty toggle as well as the other features (like infinite Special meter and infinite Exceeds).

That's nuts, I thought it would be like any coin op game where pressing select would be the equivalent to putting more quarters in.

Good to know I wasn't crazy into thinking this was a bug or a setting I didn't see.
While the game is indeed running in its AES Mode, and is likely why credits are limited, there is no reason why an AES/MVS toggle can't be implemented. Almost every emulator coded in the past 25 years has said option and if not, offer support for UniBIOS.

If SNK are hellbent on limiting credits in AES Mode, fine, but why then hide our remaining credit count? A mistake hopefully, but if intended, it definitely seems nefarious to withhold such information from the player.

The "git gud" commenters haven't grasped just how much of a task it is to get good endings with the entire roster on three credits, even with infinite meter/exceed. Then for the final fight, you only have one chance at victory. Sure, get your Geese and Zero endings, but I doubt you will ever see Dan or Hugo's good endings in the current state of this game, and if they do, was it worth it? Did you have fun? Did you really feel like you got them through skill and a fair challenge? It's easy to type "git gud" on a forum but do the grind yourself; you'll be back here begging for mercy.

Fact is the story within SVC Chaos is immense with tons of dialogue and content, and I'd love to see everything without having "Koko desu ka?" haunting me for the rest of eternity.

Start winning some rounds with Exceed moves then, don’t time out, don’t lose a round and you’ll be fine as Geonitz won’t appear if you do those things

Hell, I have actual SVSCC hardware (PCB) for my arcade cabinet and this hardware have dip or option where you can enable for free play (unlimited credits). This is no excuse for this port that doesn't have unlimited continues.

Yeah this is pretty trash ngl. I've never even heard of such a thing

So you are admitting you’ve never played a Neo Geo AES game where this is common, good to know.
Op has a point. I have the original hardware and you can dip switch it to free play. There really is no excuse. These games are notoriously cheap, the handicap is the CPU itself.

Just found out about this while trying to get achievements. Sucks cuz I don't think the other SNK ports had this issue?
Yeah I don't care how much of a shill you are, this is a problem. Limited continues is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and makes getting the endings difficult or even impossible for players who aren't speds giving up entire portions of their lives mastering a game they won't play professionally.
They just addressed and fixed this in their latest patch today! Infinite continues now in 1st player arcade mode!
