PS2 Version is still Superior Version

ps2 version still looks like the superior version visually especially it having real transparent lifebars comepared to this version's crosshatch bars. Only thing ps2 version doesnt have is the hitbox viewer. This seems to be the arcade port. Unknown yet if this has the fixed non cheating ai like ps2 version.
Also, fighting control and menu controls arent separate so if you change the controls for your fighters, the confirm button will be misplaced on the menus.

Actually, no, the Xbox version is the superior version, lol. Though they did change a few things such as the announcer to be the same one from Neo-Geo Battle Colloseum (either an upgrade or a downgrade depending), a few character special moves changes (such as Vega's Down then Up Punch charge move having its distance less shorter), and the addition of a Color Edit mode which the PS2 version doesn't have (you can also change character name in there too, lol).

It also had online (Xbox Live) too, well, until they shut down OG Xbox live servers completely a long while back.

Ah. Either way, as someone in the US this will be the first chance for me to even play this game. I never had an original Xbox.

Oh yeah, let me be more specific for EU, PAL regions, which include AU (Australia), since it had a release over there as well.

But yeah, I too have a physical OG Xbox copy (sad its not getting a modern port there). And it is as jank as it was back when it came out, lol.

@neostraycat: nah, xbox lacks L2 and R2. Outside of that, the game is 2D so theres really no difference outside of that to say that xbox's is better. Color editor is no big deal considering most of the sprites are hideous. Online doesn't matter because the servers will be dead in a year or 2. The ps2 version is more easily accessible today also unlike the xbox version.

Not really, they have their own separate buttons that would lack L2/R2. And while I get the PS2 version is easily accessible elsewhere, the Xbox version is too if you can get it to work.

However, I still stand by what I said.

You mean the PS2 version? The PS2 version with the game crash if you reach Athena/Red Arremer with either Athena or Red Arremer? You mean the PS2 version where your shoulder buttons are already bound and you can't create new bindings? Sorry, I don't like that version.

Youre actually lying. You can rebind the shoulder buttons lol. That's the select button.
Also, this version, if you change your buttons, the confirm button changes in the menus xD

I'm not buying a used old European PS2 and what will likely be an overpriced used PS2 game.
