Charge Controls Fixed?
I heard the old console ports (PS2 and XBox) had improved controls so I was wondering if they also fixed this one.

So how are the controls? Especially the implementation of charge moves. In the original arcade from a crouching position, I had to Charge down back to Charge back to forward+Punch for Sonic Boom and Psycho Crusher. Can you actually do a Charge Down Back directly to Forward+Punch to do the move now?

Charge back, Forward, Back, Forward+ LP and HP (Exceed for Bison and Guile) was also a pain to use similar to the sonic boom problem above. I had to do it exactly to pop out. Was this corrected as well?

if your on pad its like the arcade version, you have to charge down back then either go neutral or release to forward + input.

Oh...so you still need to do a workaround.

I was hoping it would be as easy and buttery sweet as charge moves in a Capcom game. I'm guessing there aren't any changes considering the devs post that they preserved the original arcade rom as much as they could. (And without any of the improvements from the old console PS2/XBox ports)

The charge motion input bug is still present in this version. It's a problem with how the engine itself reads charge motion inputs. It was fixed on console but this is based on NeoGeo so the bug is still present. You have to press either back or down for one frame and then you can hold down back, however this also means you CANNOT charge both sets of special moves. If you're Guile for example, you HAVE to pick either sonic boom or flash kick, you cannot charge both whenever you want. If you press downback and claim "it came out okay for me" you probably picked the correct direction to press first as you went to downback. You can verify this yourself by pressing down, then moving to downback in training mode, and then try to do sonic boom from downback. You cannot. Or flash kick, press back, then downback, then do flash kick after charge from downback. You cannot. Vega's flip kick and Mr. Karate's Hien Shippuu Kyaku are the exception to this rule where you can press downback and charge just fine. For supers with a downback charge, you need to press down first.
