This is about the HiB version sorry, but I didn't know where else to ask......Ahm, so yes, the game worked fine in 13.04, but now there just is no sound at all in 13.10.

Try checking pulseaudio's volume settings. I had a similar issue with Strike Suit Zero and as it turned out the audio subsystem (in that case fmod) defaulted to mute for some strange reason.

PS Love the Sly Boots Avatar!

Thanks, I fixed the issue in a more roundabout way by installing the ia32-libs from 13.04

(Ol' Booter is my favorit RPG protagonist ever after the Namless One from Plainscape)

The ia32-libs in 13.04 is a fake package, it installs another package, which is just an empty one, but it contains dependencies to some 32 bit libraries. So it installs those as a side effect.

It looks like they decided to get rid of all of the fake packages - anything requiring the real libraries should work if those are present. However, installing something which declares it depends on ia32-libs is now a problem. One solution is to install the old fake package - or you might be able to make your own empty package which is named ia32-libs and install that - or Aquaria might work if you forced the install. As long as you have the real 32bit libraries installed.

Thanks, Im currently using Mint 16 and it seems Clem (or whoever) put the real ia32-libs package back in their repos......Still, I hope the game gets updated to support 64-bit OSes.
