I'm not flippant, I'm responsible. I'm not saying I think the accusations were true (I myself think most of them weren't), I'm saying that there is no way of knowing for sure and that coming to a discussion board of a 16 year old game to spout the same generic "Zoe Quinn is a b*tch" every time isn't gonna turn back time.

The fact that some weirdos on the internet like The Quartering tried to explore Alec's death as a means to make Gamersgate happen again made things worse. Let it go. Its in the past.

Pretty much. We have no confirmation if the accusations were true or not. There are some inconsistencies with the story of the alleged victim, but at the same time, Alec's own sister backed her up saying he had a history of being problematic. So... Who knows. I don't even know my sister all that well, but if I got caught in a metoo situation I could deffo see her virtue signalling for her own gain at my expense.

I almost got caught in a title ix offense at school cause I was in a group chat (mind you, it was a group chat for the class) where people were posting rape porn. Just being in that group chat and a man I was under scrutiny, and it was horrifying. I'm past it and thankfully the person who reported it didn't pursue me. It's this easy to ruin a man's life.
