Aquaria keeps crushing in the Bit Blot loading part...

Hi! I was waiting for this game for a really long while and it's finally on a sale. I bought it, looking forward to play, but it won't let me. I activate the game and it crushes every time while doing the Bit Blot animation thingy... I tried both Default settings & setting it to my monitors resolution... any advice?

I don't know what verifying game cache means :( I tried compatibility mode with xp and it didn't work

I tried it, didn't work aswel.. is there anything else I can try?

try running it with admin privileges, disabling steam overlay and also disabling any non windows firewall / antivirus you may have just in case theyre stopping the game from accesing some files or folders. i guess its also worth it to update video card drivers but thats unlikely to help

couldnt find much online except for a patch that makes it more stable on the newest OSes. it wont give you any steam achievements though http://www.bit-blot.com/forum/index.php?topic=4313.0
