Edit: we'll know more about cross by and update soon
Meta store might not always be around, or I might get a non-meta headset someday. I'll always have steam though. Easy choice for me to go PC.
Do you know more about cross-buy ? I'd really want the quest 3 version for portability when traveling (and I travel a lot), but I like to play PCVR for graphics at home
Ps: I'll just join the Discord later and have a look around there :D
EDIT: I didn't realize it wasn't on the Rift store either, big derp. Thanks Rune!
The game is not in the Rift Store. The high-end PCVR version is only on Steam - Steam has nothing to do with the Meta Store. Like Sony's Playstation Store has nothing to do with Microsoft's XBox Store.
So you either buy the high-end version on Steam, or the 45 fps low-end version in the Quest Store. Or you buy both ;-)
It takes tons of time making the high-end PCVR version - and it takes tons of time making the low-end Quest version. Why should you get one game for free? Should we also get a game for free on Steam, if we have the same game already on the PS5?
If you like the software and want it on more platforms, then buy it twice and support the developer. 2c.
The game is in the Quest Store, not the Rift Store. I checked at least 5 times yesterday from launch and a few hours on, and I've checked a few times today - every time checking for new arrivals and by performing a search for Underdogs. Never found the game in the Rift/PCVR Store.
So if you found it, it cannot have been there for many minutes - or you're mistaken.
Good luck writing to Meta :-)
Btw, as the Steam version supports Meta's OpenXR, you get the same optimal performance buying the Steam version or buying the Rift version if that existed.
PS. I've spent more than $2500 in the Rift Store since 2017. After buying a game I never had it disappearing from my library, still got Stormland too. I've had bought games disappearing form the Store, but I still have access to them when purchased. In short, if you bought the game and have a receipt from Meta, then the game should be in your library even if vanishing from the store.
