wont launch
I was able top play this game the other week just fine. Today when I go to launch it gets half way through a loading screen infront of a black screen and then crashes. Anyone have any solutions?

There two ways you can try.
1. If you do not have SteamVR installed, install SteamVR and try again
2. Try to opt into the “last stable” beta channel. Right click underdogs->properties->beta

Before you try any of the suggestions above, try running the game again. We released another hotfix that should solve this exact issue

I have a similar issue. I was able to play the game with quest link a couple of days ago (although it was locking my PC during the first fight). Now it doesn't even launch. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling SteamVR and joining the stable beta. Nothing helped...

Good news! Opting out of the beta channel in the Oculus software helped! I was able to launch the game

Aaand now the left controller refuses to work in game :( It works perfectly fine in the Oculus environment. But the game pretends it doesn't exist...

Final update: Installed SteamVR and everything seems to be working now :)

Seems devs cut the support for Meta OpenXR, now only SteamVR drivers work.

My Index constantly starts now when trying to use my Rift CV1 with Meta OpenXR.

My CV1 is dead now, worked perfectly a few weeks ago. - When the game launched 25 January, I could play perfectly using Meta OpenXR with the Rift CV1 - or Index with SteamVR.

Why destroy things that worked greatly?

Really close to writing a negative review now - my son uses the CV1.

Note that Underdogs is not Early Access - do not significantly change the game that your customers liked and supported.

We didn't cut support, we had to make some changes to how it initializes because lot's of people had issues with how it worked before. Now it will try to initialize SteamVR first and fallback to Oculus if fails. So if you uninstall SteamVR or disable it somehow, it should work as before.

Yes, but even disabling Steam OpenXR and setting OpenXR to Meta does not help, SteamVR always takes over - and the game will not start without Steam running.

Using Steam, finding the game in your library, there is a great big green PLAY button. Now using some (older) games, when pressing PLAY, this will bring up a menu to allow you to choose between SteamVR, native Oculus drivers and more - why not do that? Let your customers choose what they want?

Interesting, we'll look into it. Thanks for the suggestion

Hi. Does not launch on Steam Vr. The beta version doesn't help either. Meta q. 3

Hey there, we've just released update 1.0.3 that includes a way for you to force the Oculus runtime by making Oculus the active OpenXR runtime (from the Oculus client app > Settings > General)
