I'm on Windows 10 and my graphic card's drivers are up to date. But...

In main menu when mouse cursor goes over "options" and "movies" its icon turns into windows cursor and I can't click anything.

Same in-game when trying to click on "non-combat", "research ship" and "probe" in build menu.

Everywhere else it seems to work correctly. Unfortunately this "little" problem makes the game unplayable...

If I put the cursor out of the button's "hit box" and comes back cursor stays normal and I can click. If I do it twice the problem comes back...

I really wish I could play this game again and experience its unique ambiance like back in the days.

If anyone has a solution it will be welcome.

Ok, I tried to switch to a different resolution than 1920*1080 and then go back to this resolution and it seems to solve the problem. But I'll have to do it everytime I play.

If someone has a real solution to this problem, I'm interested. :)

Sorry to say no... Again, switching resolution twice works for me and it takes just a few seconds. That's a bit annoying but a least you can play in normal conditions.

I did not. I read the solution they propose for this kind of problem though, but it didn't work for me.

Alt-Tab, I just bought this game yesterday and straight away encountered it in the mission. Alt-Tab does the trick.

I found its an error with the windows game tab thingy I hope this helps guys. I also found that if you press the windows key and g and then go back into the game it fixes it. Spent months trying to figure out what the f*ck was up with it.

Edit* Disable the windows game bar it fixes it completely its in the game settings first tab you see should say record game clips screen shots and broadcasting. Respond when you get a chance and enjoy homeworld my peeps took me since april to figure this damn thing out.:D

This will fix it:
- If your mouse clicks aren't registering on certain areas of the screen/menus, try pressing Alt+Tab or restarting the game. This is likely caused by overlay software.
- Disable any graphic overlay software: MSI afterburner, ATI afterburner, Raptr, Overwolf, AMD gaming evolved, GeForce Experience, Windows game bar, Steam Overlay, etc. These can cause mouse click issues, FPS issues, and memory leaks.
