Back on topic. :)
I see that it runs fine using CrossOver, but does Homeworld Remastered actually work in Wine?
That would only apply if the goal of the individual was to take part in the inclusion train of the linux spam movement.
Some people simply want to play the game.. and wine allows them to do so.
I applaud those that go above the curve and do what it takes to play the games they like. because not everyone wants to limit themselves for a port that may well never happen.
I take the opposite approach. I only use Wine to play games that have absolutely no hope of a Linux version. And I avoid using the Windows version of Steam aside the very rare case of using a very low-powered laptop on long trips.
Yes it does! The initial setup can be a little complicated but the game seems to work well, at least for me.
Well, that's something then! I'll keep that in mind if I come across a secondhand non-Steam copy :)
Forwarding the screen from one computer to another is Steam In Home Streaming, is available on all games, and is excellent.
+1 for Linux!
Some Linux players whant to play to Homeworld.
I have the CD ROM version.
But the orld version is not available to play online with WON plateform.
Now, it's Steam.
Steam OS using Linux.
So why this game is not available yet in Linux?
