Homeworld Novels?

Hello,
is Gearbox thinking about releasing some (hopefully good) novels based on the games? I haven't heard anything about that but I would buy that stuff instantly:) Others did the same with Mass Effect and other Scifi Games and TV-Series after all.

Surprisingly there seem to be no further attempts to cash in on the franchise yet.

Well, there's always the upcoming Homeworld Shipbreakers (when its done). Not exactly a novel, but at least it takes place in the same universe.

Yeah, but from what I understand it won't be set in space.

So, I have an idea for a story in the Homeworld universe. A sleeper is awakened from cryostasis once the Mothership arrives at Hiigara. As the main character of the story this sleeper, an archeologist, wants to return to Kharak. She enlists the service of a jump-capable salvage ships and it's motley crew and lives-at-the-edge-of-the-law captain. They retrace the journey of the exile convoy and return to Kharak. Most structures are destroyed and the atmosphere is not breathable. Wearing envirosuites, they visit an old temple, high in the mountains so it survived the destruction of the Taiidan weapons. The temple has ancient artifacts that point the way to the third hyperspace core. The crew set out to find the core. However, Makaan gets wind of this and follows our intrepid crew. They find the core only to have it ripped from their grasp by Makaan. Makaan uses the core to get long life, like Karen S'Jet, and begins to rally forces. Getting ready to strike at Hiigara. If you played Homweorld 2 you know the rest.
